Last month, Cohorted launched their much anticipated monthly beauty subscription box, a guaranteed delivery of luxurious beauty treats month on month without having to worry about the boxes selling out or battling with the website unlike previous editions. The *November Cohorted Box being their first has landed and I hate to put an downer on things so early on but due to supplier problems the Sigma Brush which I was really excited about it like others has only made it inside half of the boxes, the other half of subscribers will receive a Cargo Palette. Whilst this may be a huge disappointment, I can confirm that there are definitely a few highlights which may soften the blow for those who had their heart set on the brush, in fact I’m rather chuffed with the Cargo Palette in it’s replacement.

With five full size products and one sample, My November edition features a mixture of make up, nails and skincare from Cargo CosmeticsLaura MercierNails Inc, Bare Minerals and Chloe, all of which are beautifully presented inside their signature black box secured with an organza ribbon giving it a very luxurious look and feel.

1. Nail Inc Nail Polish – Full Size x 2  RRP £11.00 each

I love receiving nail varnishes especially from Nails Inc and this month you can see two different shades inside your box.

Colville Mews is the perfect 9 to 5 neutral shade whilst Chelsea Flower Show is a vibrant orange that’s definitely more suited for the summer months.

2. Bare Minerals Instant Eye Reviver – Full Size RRP £15.00

The Bare Minerals Instant Eye Reviver promises to immediately awaken tired-looking eyes with an innovative, mineral-rich powder that melts into a creamy treatment and cools upon contact and is powered by bareMinerals(R) ActiveSoil Complex and revitalizing peptides. This unique powder-to-cream formula helps to improve skin firmness around the eye area, both instantly, and over time.

3. Laura Mercier The Flawless Facebook Palette  –  RRP £38.00

Despite the urge to carry all my make-up with me, this palette by Laura Mercier contains a handy variety of essentials to get that flawless, polished face whilst on the go and you can bet I’ve fallen head over heels with it!

There’s two shade variations in Nude/Sand which you can expect to see this month. It’s definitely risky including these types of products when you’re catering for the masses but luckily Nude is the perfect near match for me.

This chic, slim-line compact features the Tinted Moisturizer Creme Compact SPF 20, plus two targeted concealers, Secret Concealer for undereye coverage/brightening and Secret Camouflage to cover blemishes and imperfections, along with Mineral Pressed Powder to finish and set the look – pretty awesome right?

It’s the perfect all-in-one palette that has everything I need and I’ve been using this non-stop since I received it. If you’re always on the go and want to de-clutter your make up bag this is great for that.

4. Cargo Cosmetics The Essentials Eyeshadow Palette  –RRP £35.00

Cargo Cosmetics is a brand that is featured quite regularly inside the Cohorted Boxes but since being introduced I’ve been really impressed with the quality of their palettes and their Essentials Palette which was released earlier this year is no exception.

Inspired by the hues of New York City architecture, the palette contains twelve neutral and bold shades with a mix of matte and shimmer finishes and I think they’ve done a great job in mimicking the colours of the city.

The palette features all the tools you need and the variety of shades give endless options for a sultry smokey eye to a “no-makeup” look and is perfect for a pop of colour without going overboard. There’s also an eye pencil which is super-black and pigmented as well as a dual ended brush.

5. Chloe Eau de Parfum – Sample Vial 1.2ml

Chloe is one of those perfumes that is hard not to fall in love with. It has a nice sweet scent that is really fresh and feminine making it ideal for the day, but also appropriate for evenings too. With notes of pink peony, freesia, lychee, magnolia flower, lily of the valley, rose, cedar wood, amber and honey it’s classy, girly and definitely a perfume that will please floral fans.

My Verdict

I’m not going to lie I was really looking forward to the Sigma Brush but the addition of the Cargo Palette and the Laura Mercier Palette has definitely redeemed the line up, both of which are also the showstoppers for me this month. I love make-up so this edition gets full marks from me giving a much welcomed break from skincare. The only thing I would say is that I’d love to see some more new brands on board just so it’s not so samey each month.  All in all I think the majority is all very usable and seasonally appropriate and as always there’s a very generous amount of full-sized products so in terms of value it’s fantastic and I think they’ve definitely nailed their first ever edition.

If you lust over premium and high end brands or simply want a guilt-free treat each month the Cohorted Beauty Box really is great for that.

Spoiler Alert: The December edition will feature a full-sized Too Faced Soul Mates Blushing Bronzer (worth £28.00).

Did you get the November edition? I’d love to hear from you!
