If you love discovering on-trend and classic colours from both well-known and emerging brands or simply want to grow your nail varnish collection then *MeeBox is the UK’s newest nail subscription box that delivers nail polishes, treatments and tools right to your front door each month with a theme to match. I’m a sucker for a good theme, and the December Ice Queen edition doesn’t disappoint. Centered around getting your nails prepped for the party season and with Christmas-inspired mani’s being all the rage, this month’s line up provides you with a complete kit from slick nail varnishes to full on nail art making your at-home mani that little easier and glam right through to the new year!

Each month you can expect to see a themed curation containing a generous mix of products from nail varnish, manicure tools and even hand creams, all of which are from well-known brands that we all love and know as well as some new discoveries too.

The December Ice Queen edition features Color Club, Crabtree & Evelyn, China Glaze and Sparkly Nails, all of which are enclosed inside MeeBox’s very own branded box with everything packaged nice and snug so you don’t need to worry about breakages.

1.  Color Club Nail Lacquer in “It’s Raining Men” – Full Size. RRP £8.95

I’ve loved what I’ve tried from Color Club and the shade It’s Raining Men from their oil slick collection is definitely something that I welcome to my collection. The colour is a cobalt blue with a hint of purple/pink giving a very pretty multi-hued effect. It’s the perfect party shade and will not fail to get you noticed!

2.  Crabtree & Evelyn in “Mica” – Full Size. RRP £6.00

I must admit the Crabtree & Evelyn nail varnish formula’s are so lovely to use, a couple of coats and you’re all set for smooth and very glossy nails. Mica is a shimmery charcoal grey, the perfect choice for the winter evenings that you’ll be able to pull off during the day too.

3.  China Glaze in “Lotus Begin” – Full Size. RRP £8.95

Lotus Begin by China Glaze is a soft medium purple creme that’s got me yearning for Spring but it’s a lovely shade to brighten up your nails.

4.  Nail File and Nail Art treats

I’m that girl who loves glitter but I’m kind of relieved that MeeBox didn’t include any glitter bases as I’ve already purchased a good few this month! Instead they’ve included a pot of glittery strands (£1.65) and a pack of festive nail decals (£1.65) from Sparkly Nails that effortlessly adds a full on finish or something a little more minimal for those who want a subtle look. Last but not least there’s also a mini nail file keyring (£1.00), the perfect companion to accompany you on those nights out!

My Verdict

Come the party season, I think everyone likes to dabble in a little bit of glitz and glam when it comes to their nails and this month’s MeeBox edition delivers exactly that. Admittedly, I was expecting a couple of glitter bases within the line up but the addition of the glitter pot and nail decals is definitely my preferred choice. Sticking to theme throughout with a beautiful selection of hues, the December box has been curated to perfection showcasing well known brands and is a complete kit that’s got you covered right through to the new year! The only thing I would say is the value this month in comparison to last month’s box isn’t great especially when it comes with a £20.00 price tag but in all in all I’m pretty chuffed with their choices for December.

If you tend to stick to classic shades then this box gives you the opportunity to try something which you normally wouldn’t reach out for and with five full sized products on board it’s great value for money making it the perfect guilt-free treat for those who simply want to grow their nail varnish collection or just love all things nails!
