Nowadays there’s a monthly subscription for everyone and everything and this year alone has seen quite a few companies jumping onto the beauty box wagon which of course is music to my ears so when Dollibox got in touch with me, I couldn’t wait to see what their *December edition had in store. Being a fairly new start-up, Dollibox is a monthly subscription service for UK based beauty lovers. You’ll receive five personalised beauty samples, sometimes full-sized every month, tailored to your beauty profile as well as tips and tutorials centered around the products you receive. This month’s line up covers a good area of beauty and features some great pre and post-party skincare treats as well as make-up and a hair mask. Beauty boxes are all about discovering new brands and products and I’m pleased to report that this month’s edition delivers exactly that, with five generous sized products there’s some interesting things to try from both emerging and well-known brands.

1. Anubis Barcelona Cleansing Mousse – Full Size 50ml RRP £12.00

Abubis Barcelona hailing  from Spain, are a fairly new beauty brand to the UK and as well as providing beauty centers, hotels, Spa, Medical-Spa and aesthetic clinics, they produce the most advanced professional beauty treatments in the market. With a high component of innovation and development based on results they cover all skincare needs.

This antioxidant silky foam cleanse provides a soothing and moisturising effect with an instant feeling of well being.  Enhanced with orange stem cells, the mousse fights free radicals to protect the skin and combats premature ageing effectively.

2. Osmo Intensive Deep Repair Mask – Travel Size RRP £3.00

I’m always on the lookout for a miracle formula to tame and nourish my unruly hair  and this mask by Osmo claims to be “Specially formulated for over stressed, heat traumatised and chemically abused hair” – well that’s me in a nut shell!

The consistency of this mask is quite thick, creamy and it smells rather lovely too, a bit like shea butter. As it’s a thick mask, it does a great job moisturising the hair and leaves the hair feeling very soft and smooth.

For anyone who’s hair is frazzled or enjoys a love affair with heat styling tools like me, this is budget friendly and really gives my hair that much needed attention.

3. Freeman Barefoot Lavender & Mint Foot Cream – Sachet RRP £1.50

With New Years Eve soon upon us, what better way to soothe and refresh those dancing feet than with the Barefoot Lavender & Mint Foot Cream by Freeman, a very welcomed addition inside this month’s box.

This aroma-therapeutic foot cream contains Lavender, Mint, Vitamin E and Tea Tree oil and promises to to relieve aches, improves skin softness as well as  reinvigorating tired muscles while uplifting the senses. I can’t wait to smother this on!

4. Model Co Highlighting Trio – Full Size RRP £14.00

Here’s a product that effortlessly brings back glowing skin! The Model Co Highlighting Trio contains a luminiser for highlighting cheekbones, a satin-finish blush for cheeks and a glowing bronzer that helps contour and define and together it’s a very versatile and a great all on one product.

Whilst it looks a little shimmery the shades blend out to a much softer, glowing finish and instantly revives and brightens up dull winter skin.

5. Barenaturals Pomegranite & Pink Grapefruit Soap – Full Size RRP £3.65

Last but not least is the Barenaturals Pomegranate & Pink Grapefruit Soap that contains no nasties and is packed with goodness such as Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Patchouli Oil, Vitamin E, Pomegranate and Pink Grapefruit. The scent alone makes this a perfect choice for a morning pick me up!

 My Verdict

Covering all areas of beauty with a line up that’s rather fitting for this time of the year, the December Dollibox is so spot on and really has you covered showcasing make up as well as some skin, body and hair rescuers to get you back to your fabulous self. I love that they’ve featured some new and exciting discoveries mainly from brands I’ve not been introduced to before making the unboxing experience that little more interesting. In terms of value, the contents exceed the price of the box and with the majority being full size you’ll be able judge whether you like them or not.

Overall I think this month’s edit is a great all-rounder with lovely contents to match and I can’t wait to see what they have in store for 2016. If this month’s box is anything to go by and you love discovering new and well known beauty brands then Dollibox is definitely a box you’ll want to have on your radar!
