What better way to see in the new year than with a new beauty box release, say hello to the *Look Incredible Beauty Box, a very new start up who aim to deliver lust worthy beauty treats from brands we all love and know straight to your door month on month. I’ll be honest, I didn’t really know what to expect when they got in touch with me but the January edition has got me beaming from ear to ear! Featuring an AH-mazing line up of treats, it’s the perfect pick me up after what’s been a stressful few weeks so a very welcomed addition this month. With five full sized products on board the box covers skincare, nails and make-up and showcases a good variety of well-known brands. For a box that’s only £18.99 a month it’s a really impressive haul that boasts an incredible value of £87.49.

Each month Look Incredible promise to deliver 5 full size products that you would see on the highstreet which are diverse including best loved classics to new launches and no spoilers are released so it’s a complete surprise when it arrives.

The January edition features the brands YSL, Bare minerals, Essie and Laura Geller

1. BareMinerals Redness Remedy – Full Size RRP £27.00

I really like the ethos behind bareMinerals and there’s two products from the brand inside the box with the first being the Redness Remedy, a formula that reduces facial redness on contact and over time with an effective soothing treatment. Powered by their proprietary ActiveSoilTM Complex, it minimises the appearance of imperfections and imparts luminosity for a healthy-looking, more even-toned complexion. It’s suitable for all skin types and also comes with an antibacterial-treated Soothing Compress Brush.

On first impressions the yellowness of the formula will make you think what the hell but the colour does counteract the redness so this would be a great choice for those who suffer with rosacea. I’ve got a cold at the moment and this worked wonders on hiding my red nose although it’s not very forgiving on dry skin so you’ll need to moisturise first.

2. BareMinerals Flawless Lash Mascara – Full Size RRP £17.00

With antioxidants and lash conditioning ingredients, the Flawless Lash Mascara by BareMinerals defines each and every lash and the silicone brush effortlessly catches those tiny corner lashes.  The mascara applies quite lightly and even after a good few coats my lashes didn’t feel overloaded or clumped together. The finished look isn’t quite as dramatic as I would usually go for but if you are after a more natural look this is definitely a keeper.

3. YSL Lip Twins – Full Size RRP £24.99

The Lip Twins by YSL is a gadget lover’s dream, it’s a gloss,  a lipstick and mirror all in one! With the opportunity to combine colours and textures they can be used together or separately from each other.

The packaging is the usual gold metal signature of YSL and inside there’s a pink and neutral shade. The neutral lipstick alone is ok but when paired with the pink gloss it forms the perfect partnership. It’s fun and an attention grabber but the only let down is this is actually a tester as the retail product comes with a brush.

4. Laura Geller Baked Impression Blush – Full Size RRP £10.00

I normally go for blushers that have a little shimmer, but Mauve Mocha Latte by Laura Geller is such a lovely matte, I can’t help but love it.

Embossed with coffee beans, the warm terracotta shade looks really natural and is an instant brightener. It’s sheer but buildable and gives a natural, flattering warmth to my complexion.

5. Essie Nail Varnish in Steeling the Scene – Full Size RRP £8.50

Steeling the Scene by Essie isn’t a colour I would have picked out myself but this gunmetal grey gives off a gold or green cast depending on the light. I don’t own any shades like this so a very welcomed addition my collection.

My Verdict

With the stress of the festive period now over, the Look Incredible Box kick starts the new year in true style and is the perfect pick me up if you need a little cheering up. I’m truly blown away by the line up, the value and the great array of products from brands we all love and know, it’s a pretty impressive haul for a box with a £18.99 price tag!  With quite a few highlights that I’ll definitely continue to use, I love that they’ve featured a very careful selection of universal shades and products so there’s something for every beauty fan. I’m a little disappointed that they included a tester in the form of the YSL Lip Twins but nonetheless it’s a gadget I really welcome to my make up collection.

Whilst Look Incredible are fairly new to the market I think they’ve done an awesome job however the only thing I would say the presentation of the box could do with a little work but other than that if this month’s edition is anything to go by then I think it’s definitely a box I’m interested in getting to know better!
