If you’re still feeling the wrath of Christmas past then the *January ‘Year of More’ Glossybox really hits all the right notes with a line up that’s not centered around the things we should be doing but what we should be doing more of and is designed to overhaul tired and partied out skin making it the ideal survival kit to kick-start the new year! From skincare revivers to the all important make-up fixes there’s a host of new discoveries that’s got me pretty excited and incredibly the majority is full sized too, what a glossy start to the year!

Glossybox is a monthly beauty subscription service. The box consists of 4-5 selected hair, make-up , body and nail products from well-known brands and new brands and includes a mixture of full sized and sample products.

1.  Madara Time Miracle Cellular Repair Serum – Travel Size 15ml. Worth £19.00

I’ve loved the majority of what I’ve tried from Madara, a brand who practice an entirely natural and ecological ethos according to the international ECOCERT standard that prohibits the use of synthetic perfumes, synthetic preservatives like parabens, mineral oil, propylene glycol and other synthetic ingredients.

This month all subscribers can expect to see a generous sized sample of the Time Miracle Cellular Repair Serum, a clinically proven concentrate for active anti-aging care that dramatically boosts the cellular renewal cycle to visibly improve the smoothness of the skin and reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles. With facial contours becoming firmer; the skin is recharged with essential moisture and vitality.

This can be layered under your morning and/or night moisturiser however if you’re skin’s on the oily side like me then this moisturising formula suffices just on its own making it a great choice for the warmer months.

2.  Unani Dermo Defense Face Mask – Full Size 100ml. RRP £11.36

As well as the moisture packed serum, you can also expect to see a generous sixed Dermo Defense Face Mask by Unani, a Spanish family run business with over 10 years experience in the world of natural and organic cosmetics.

Recommended for sensitive skin, the Dermo Defense Face Mask cares for and protects the skin, keeping it nourished and hydrated while in turn removes impurities.

If you need some added skin boost from your usual cleansing and moisturising routine, then this month’s addition gives you a great opportunity to try something that’s natural, organic and boasts some great benefits too.

3.  Naobay Orange Juice Hand Cream – Full Size 100ml RRP £14.00

Nothing makes me happy than a tube of hand cream and this month’s box includes a huge Naobay Orange Hand Cream that will see you right through to summer!

Infused with Shea Butter, the cream promises to intensely hydrate the skin on the hands to prevent the development of hard and dehydrated skin. With skin-loving ingredients such as Chamomile and Aloe Vera Extracts, this extraordinary hand cream bathes the skin in Nutrients and Vitamins, guaranteeing protection from daily environmental radicals without leaving a greasy or oily residue.

I love that this genuinely smells like orange juice and it does a great job keeping my hands moisturised too.

4.  Teez Lipstick in Oasis Gem – Full Size RRP £11.93

This long-lasting lipstick with it’s eye catching packaging combines the power of highly-pigmented coverage and a unique satin, matte finish. The lipstick’s smooth, ultra creamy texture and the added coconut oil extract nourishes and hydrates the lips, with colour that lasts for up to 8 hours.

The shade is a lovely pink/coral that’s got me yearning for spring, it’s so pretty! It really packs a punch and the pigmentation is pretty impressive too.

5.  GLOSSYBOX Eye Shadow in Mauve – Full Size RRP £7.10

Last but not least is an trend-setting satin eye shadow from Glossybox’s own collection in the shade Mauve. You can either apply this dry for a subtle finish or wet for a more dramatic look. I love the warmth in this eye shadow it really makes my green eyes pop!

My Verdict

We all have grandiose ideas of reshaping our lives come January, but it’s definitely the little habits we incorporate into our day-to-day that make the biggest impact, so with this in mind I think the January Glossybox effortlessly gives your beauty routine a little reboot for 2016! With a collective of skincare that’s bursting with natural goodness and make up to brighten dull complexions, I think they’ve come up with the perfection curation this month and with the majority being full sized they’ll see you right through to the summer!

Priced at just £13.25 with a retail value over £50.00, it’s an utter bargain and the generous sized products make it the perfect guilt-free treat for yourself or a gift for a beauty fan.
