Since the news of the new *Candy Coat subscription box and the fact that I’m a sucker for anything cute, I’ve been eagerly waiting for their first ever edition to land on my door step and it’s finally here and it’s everything I imagined it to be and so much more. Whilst nail subscription boxes kicked off early last year in the UK, Candy Coat offers something a little different and fun. Not only is it the first gel subscription to launch in the UK, the box also includes cute little nail tools, lifestyle accessories, stationary and candy and in terms of the shades you’ll have the opportunity to try out the latest from the wide collection already available via their website. If you love all things nails with some sweet surprises thrown in too then this box really hits the spot and I’m pleased to report the March edition is absolutely fabulous with a little personalisation too which is such a lovely touch. The attention to detail alongside the contents really demonstrates the love and passion that’s gone into curating this box.

Candy Coat was born 2015 and created by a gel lovin’, colour obssessed londoner who specialises in her very own collection of gel nail polishes that’s already a hit with nail technicians and nail fans alike with over one hundred colours available and more in development. Excitedly Candy Coat has now branched out to a monthly subscription box which promises to deliver gels and goodies in the form of the latest collection of gel colours, cute little nail tools, lifestyle accessories, stationary and candy.

1. Candy Coat Gels – Full Size x5

The gel polishes are what started the Candy Coat Journey and inside this month’s box you can expect to see a base and top coat as well as three different shades of gel polish so it’s a complete kit that will have your nails coated in candy in no time although you will need a UV/led lamp to cure the gel.

2. Nail Tools and Nail Art – 10 items

A nail subscription box wouldn’t be complete without some nail tools and this edition really has you covered from taking care of your nails as well as a selection of nail art to make them look extra pretty and I think you’ll agree it’s a very generous selection!  Inside there’s a cuticle pusher and fork, a sparkly nail file, a nail brush and a nail art brush with dotter. On the nail art front there’s everything you could possibly need to create a day look or something a little more glitzy and glam for the evenings and includes a pot of glitter, cute nail decals, crystals and two little containers of teeny beads and of course more glitter!

3. Lifestyle Items – 3 items

As well as the all things nails line up the addition of the lifestyle items really gives this box a good balance and is something that really gives this box appeal. The obvious showstopper is the personalised lollipop, something I wasn’t expecting to see but it’s such a lovely touch for their first ever box. There’s also a candy pen and a pin badge.

My Verdict

I’m so smitten with the first-ever Candy Coat box and if this month’s box is anything to go by then it’s definitely one you’ll want to have on your radar. As soon as I opened the box, I was blown away with the amount of effort and love that went into putting this together, it’s really impressive! The contents come presented within a cute box that is letterbox friendly and as for the presentation it impressively sticks to the same sort of pastel colour scheme throughout.

The unboxing alone is really fun, it was like a treasure hunt as you need to get past all the shredded tissue, pom poms and some subtle glitter to get to some of the hidden treats inside and as for the contents it’s a complete kit that enables you to get your nails prepped and pretty in the comfort of your own home with loveable gel shades to match, all of which are seasonally appropriate for spring. As well as the all things nails line up I loved the addition of the lifestyle items especially the personalised lollipop, I’ve never received anything personalised inside a subscription box before so it was definitely a lovely surprise.

All in all I’m really impressed with their first edition and the whole box was a really fun way to try out what Candy Coat do best. With a very generous selection of goodies on board, it’s definitely worth the price tag when you take into the account what’s been included.

The Candy Coat Sweet Little Somethings Box is £18.00 per month plus free postage and the April edition will be available from the 1st AprilIf you love all things nails with some additional sweet surprises thrown in too then it’s definitely a box you’ll want to add to the list!
