Just when I thought last month’s Look Incredible box was a winner, they’ve pulled it out of the bag once again with another showstopping edition for April. Featuring an excellent selection of established brands as well as a new brand discovery, the line up showcases skincare as well as some make up treats and together they make the perfect companions for Spring. Incredibly, everything’s full sized again so it’s another great haul that’s really worth the £18.99 price tag.

Look Incredible Beauty Box, a fairly new start up who aim to deliver lust worthy beauty treats from brands we all love and know straight to your door month on month. Each month Look Incredible promise to deliver 5 full size products that you would see on the highstreet which are diverse including best loved classics to new launches and no spoilers are released so it’s a complete surprise when it arrives.

The April edition features the brands Loreal, Urban Decay, SmashboxLaura Geller and Velvet 59.

1. Laura Geller Spackle Undereye Eye Primer – Full Size RRP £20.00

This instant plumping and lifting formula creates long-lasting hydration for youthful-looking eyes and extended make-up wear. Sparkle Undereye Primer softens and nourishes the delicate skin around the eyes while helping it to retain water to keep it smooth with  a cooling metal tip to de-puff tired looking eyes!

The soft pearl finish makes the eyes look brighter, more well-rested and creates the perfect canvas for concealer application. If your current primer isn’t cutting it anymore then I definitely recommend trying this one, it’s pretty good!

2. Smashbox Blush Soft light Duo – Full Size RRP £15.00

I love a good duo and I’m pretty surprised this product has now discontinued from the Smashbox range as it’s absolutely gorgeous. The Smashbox Blush Soft Light Duo contains a blush and a highlighter and together they make the perfect partners to give you a sheer healthy looking glow. Its also quite buildable and for me one of the major pluses is how blendable it is. The slight shimmer in the Soft Lights is subtle and not too shiny or sparkly making it a great choice for during the day.

3. L’Oreal Nutri Gold Silky Day Cream – Full Size RRP £8.99

The L’Oreal Nutri Gold Silk Day Cream is a day face cream with silky oil, calcium and jasmine that promises to nourish and protect your skin.

As I’m more on the oily side of the spectrum, this is way too heavy for my skin however dry skin types will really appreciate this!

4. Urban Decay Super Saturated Lip Colour – Full Size RRP £14.00

As much as I love the Urban Decay eye shadow palettes, I haven’t really explored much else from their range so I was delighted to see their Super Saturated Lip Colour in the shade Love Child, an ever so pretty bubblegum pink that works really well for daytime wear.

As far as the formula goes, the shade really packs a pack and the pencil glides on extremely smoothly. It feels hydrating on the lips, doesn’t have that sticky feeling and lasted for around 3-4 hours before I noticed any fading. It’s the perfect shade of pink for months ahead.

5. Velvet 59 My Fair Lashes Mascara – Full Size RRP £19.99

I love that Look Incredible have featured an indie cosmetic brand from the US this month. The brand has a lot of things going for it such as adorable packaging and the fact that it’s vegan/cruelty-free and 100% free of parabens.

The My Fair Lashes mascara has a unique wand with a weird bend at the top and the sides are a little more flat however apart from the top part which kind of added a little length, the main body of the wand left me rather disappointed. It’s not the best mascara I’ve tried however if you like a natural look then this does exactly that .

My Verdict

Month on month the Look Incredible boxes are full of surprises and whilst I loved the March edition the April edition definitely tops it! There’s some great bits for spring with a lovely selection of wearable shades on the make up front and in terms of the brands they’ve featured this month there’s a good balance covering established brands as well as a new discovery from the US. There’s a couple of items I wasn’t too keen on such as the mascara and the face cream but I’m really pleased with the remainder. Having received quite a few of the Look Incredible boxes, the quality and value has remained consistent and so far there’s been a really good rotation of brands each month so I hope this is something that continues as they’ve definitely set the bar high when it comes to these types of boxes. All in all they’ve come up with another value for money haul that totals over £80.00 and with everything being full sized it’s the perfect guilt-free treat.
