With spring now in full bloom the April So Susan “I love Spring” Lip Love Bag embraces the season with a beautiful spring inspired bag and a matching quote from Hariett Ann Jacobs and inside you can expect to see a varied line up of make up treats to brighten up post winter complexions as we head into the warmer months. I adore the line up this month it features a good mixture of products that are perfect for bringing a touch of spring to your make up bag. Showcasing a collective of new discoveries from So Susan, Jelly Pong Pong and Trifle Cosmetics, the bag contains four full size items with an incredible value of £74.80.
The So Susan collection ranges from make-up to nail varnish combining their lovely portfolio of colours with science. Their philosophy is to create colours which last, are cruelty free and also much kinder to your skin. As well as the philosophy behind the brand, I love the feminine and pretty designed packaging which always stands out for me. I’ve tried quite a few products from their collection and already have a few firm favourites.

1. So Susan Muse Palette – Full Size RRP £14.95
Say hello to the Muse Palette, a new addition to the So Susan family containing 3 sexy, smokey hues to create the perfect midnight muse look. These silky shadows are formulated with silicon-coated micronized pigments for a seamless, velvety texture that lasts up to 8 hours and so promises to help reduce eyebags, dark circles and puffiness with Eyeseryl® peptide.
These shades are beautiful on their own but can also be combined together to create a lovely make up look for the evening. The metallic bronze shade is absolutely gorgeous and really makes the eyes pop! I love the formula, it’s easy to blend with very little fallout and applies like a dream.
2. Trifle Cosmetics Lip Parfait in the shade “Exotic Fruits” – Full Size RRP £12.95
The Lip Parfait by Trifle Cosmetics is a lipstick that also doubles up as lip treatment and applies like butter to impart a soft, moisturising shade of colour to your lips. Infused with cocoa butter to keep lips plumped and hydrated all day long, as well as silicon-coated colour pigments so the colour is never dull or feathery, and lips look refreshed, hydrated and super soft.
I’ve really got a soft spot for these pretty packaged lipsticks so I’m delighted welcome another one to my collection but “Exotic Fruits” is a very pale nude and isn’t something I’ll be able to pull off any time soon but the formula is so dreamy.
3. Jelly Pong Pong Malibu Melt – Full Size RRP £19.95
This super hydrating cream blush is formulated to condition and help keep skin plump with moisturizing colour for a full 12 hours of continuous wear.
This blush literally melts onto the skin and whilst I’m not usually a fan of cream blushers this one blends really well leaving a lovely flush of colour to the cheeks and works just as well as a lip tint, the shade is perfect for Spring.
4. So Susan Illuminata – Full Size RRP £14.95
The So Susan Illuminata is a preservative-free, superbly formulated luminizing loose powder that gives a soft-focus, subtle halo effect to your complexion. Infused with Apricot, Jojoba & Macadamia oil beads which are encapsulated in the powder pigments, they burst open to impart a hydrated, more refined appearance to your skin, making Illuminata™ a unique, groundbreaking hybrid between long-wearing powder and rejuvenating, moisturising oils.
My Verdict
So Susan have curated another great bag this month and they’ve stuck to the theme throughout by incorporating a beautiful collection of spring inspired products, perfect for brightening up post-winter complexions, all of which are enclosed inside a very pretty designed bag. I love the line up this month it covers a good area of make up and as always features all full sized products so it’s incredible value for money and great for those who want to discover more skin friendly and cruelty-free alternatives. Whilst I really love that So Susan just focus on make up, I’d love to see the addition of some make up brushes/beauty tools in their future curations to shake things up a little.
