I’m always intrigued about cult beauty products and even more curious as to why they have such an influential following so the May You Beauty Box shortlist “The Cult Edit” gives subscribers an opportunity to trial some of the latest and greatest products that the beauty industry has to offer. I must admit the shortlist looked a little underwhelming this month especially as I had to skip on the Rodial cleanser as it wasn’t suited to my skin type but the Show Beauty Treatment Oil alongside the Anna Semonin Eye Express Radiance Ice Cube has definitely made up for the shortfall and I’m so delighted with them both not forgetting the extra bonus treats too! I must say it’s an exceptional line up for a box that’s only £6.95 and as for the value it’s absolutely incredible this month!

1. Show Beauty Oil – Full Size 60ml RRP £60.00

Your eyes are not kidding you! This is indeed a high-end product with a whopping £60 price tag for 60ml, it’s definitely a fabulous treat!

The Show Beauty’s Pure Treatment oil is a leave in treatment that can be applied to damp or dry hair. Containing Argan, jojoba & coffee seed oil, Pure Treatment oil promises to “restore your hair’s lustre and shine, leaving it strengthened, deeply nourished and infinitely desirable.” Sounds good!

The box is black & gold and the faceted decedent glass bottle is ever so beautiful. The golden lid has a black top with a butterfly motif and there’s a large glass dropper to extract the precious oil, which is always handy to ensure minimum wastage.

2. Anna Semonin Eye Express Radiance Ice Cube – x1 Worth £7.16

Gazing at a computer all day at work as well as late nights blogging means sometimes an eye cream just doesn’t cut it so the Eye Express Radiance Ice Cube from Anne Semonin sounded wonderful to blitz wrinkles, dark circles and puffiness in the delicate of ways.

Formulated with marine spring water that is rich in trace elements and mineral salts, the Eye Express Radiance Ice Cube is designed to be stored in the freezer and used when the  eye area needs a boosting ‘pick-me-up’. The the ice cube works to soothe tired eyes, plump fine lines and wrinkles and visibly improves under eye circles with an ingenious combination of natural active ingredients such as Ginkgo biloba, gourd extract and hyaluronic acid.

3. Extra samples inside the box:

As always, the You Beauty Box always includes some extra bonus treats and this months edition features sachet sample of Verso Super Facial Serum, x1 Popband Hair Tie and a £15.00 gift card from Anne Semonin

My Verdict

I think you’ll agree it’s an exceptional line up this month and as for the value it’s absolutely incredible with huge savings to be had. This ridiculously affordable subscription is an excellent way to sample some of the latest and greatest alongside some classics from the beauty industry, and is very often well worth the £6.95 investment. I’m delighted that I managed to get my hands on the Show Oil and I’m keeping the Eye Express Radiance Ice cube on standby!

Coming in at only £6.95, not only is it affordable but it also gives subscribers a great opportunity to sample products from well-known, loved and emerging beauty brands. One of the aspects I love about this box is that I have full control of what’s inside as well as receiving some additional bonus samples too. If you’re new to the beauty box concept then this is definitely a great purse friendly box to start off with and If you do happen to fall in love with something there’s a few discount codes from the brands featured this month too.
