I’ve been really loving the Look Incredible boxes recently and there’s no doubt that they’re a great resource for trying out a variety of discoveries from both established and lesser known brands but the May edition for me personally is a teeny bit of a let down mainly due to a couple of the items featured but there’s no arguing that it’s another great valued box and excitedly it does focus mainly on make up and nails which is great for those who tend to get a little fed up of receiving skincare! Incredibly, everything’s full sized again so it’s another great haul that’s really worth the £18.99 price tag.

The Look Incredible Beauty Box aims to deliver lust worthy beauty treats from brands we all love and know straight to your door month on month. Each month Look Incredible promise to deliver 5 full size products that you would see on the highstreet which are diverse including best loved classics to new launches and no spoilers are released so it’s a complete surprise when it arrives.

The May edition features the brands Bellapierre, Korres, Bareminerals, MAC and Claire’s Accessories.

1. Claire’s Nail Polish – Full Size x3 Worth £9.00

I love dabbling in a little glitter now and again despite the emotional struggle that comes with it but I’m a little baffled to see Claire’s Accessories, I think it’s quite an odd brand to have on board but none the less they’ve included a generous set of three glitter varnishes, a great way to jazz up your nails for the upcoming festival season or evenings out.

2. Bellapierre Kabuki Brush – Full Size RRP £22.50

Made with Taklon this Kabuki Brush is perfect for foundation and powder application or it can also be used to blend face makeup for a more natural look. This cruelty-free brush is made of 100% synthetic fibers and will not shed during makeup application.

The brush is super soft that gives a really nice plush feeling upon contact, just running my finger through the bristles feels so nice!  It’s also compact, perfect for packing and actually works well.

3. Korres Eye Primer – Full Size RRP £15.00

I don’t wear eyeshadow much, but when I do, I rely on a good primer to keep my eyeshadow in-tact and crease-free throughout the day. I’ve tried this one by Korres from a previous box and it’s 3 in 1 formula primes, corrects and helps against anti aging. It’s enriched with Quercetin & Oak extracts which smooths the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and it’s built-in apricot undertone claims to instantly correct darkness and imperfections on the eyelid and underneath the eye area.

The texture and the apricot colour really makes the eyeshadow look more vibrant and it also works well under the eyes as a colour corrector to neutralise dark circles as well as brightening the eye area too.

4. Bareminerals Blush – Full Size RRP £22.00

Specially formulated using seanutritive mineral complex with antioxidant and cold-pressed camellia oil, this silky long wearing formula promises to leave your skin feeling softer, smoother and lasts up to 8 hours.

With two shade options available I received French Kiss, a cool toned bright pink blush. The shade has great colour payoff but it looked so vibrant on my pale skin and isn’t something I’ll be able to pull off!

5. MAC Patent Polish Lip Pencil – Full Size RRP £17.50

From a selection of shades available, I received Hopelessly Devoted, a fushia pink that’s not the bold in-your-face shade that I initially expected! This subdued and very wearable fuchsia is great for those who are not brave enough to venture into bold territory.

I received this in a previous box and I absolutely love the formula. Whilst the pencil doesn’t need sharpening, the rounded tip doesn’t give a precise application which for me is the only flaw. In terms of pigmentation it’s semi-sheer however a few swipes builds a good layer of coverage.

My Verdict

In all honesty this probably isn’t the best edit I’ve seen from Look Incredible especially in comparison to their previous curations and whilst there was a few products that made up for the little disappointment I’m a little baffled as to why they showcased the Claire’s Accessories as it just doesn’t fit in with the remainder of the brands featured! On a positive note I’ve been really impressed with their rotation of brands each month so I hope this is something that continues as they’ve definitely set the bar high when it comes to these types of boxes. All in all they’ve come up with another value for money haul that totals over £80.00 and with everything being full sized it’s the perfect guilt-free treat.
