If you’re regular reader you would have noticed that my last two ‘Beauty Pick of the Month’ posts have featured skin friendly treats discovered inside my Nourish Beauty Box and I’ve got to admit I’ve been really enjoying their hand picked goodies of late and the *May edition is no exception. Covering mainly skincare there’s some great pick me ups perfect to unveil that happy, healthy glow in time for those sunny days ahead of us. As always there’s discoveries from new and exciting natural and cruelty-free beauty brands from across the globe, something that I really love as it makes the unboxing experience that little more interesting plus everything’s skin friendly so you don’t need to worry about any nasties. The value once again beats the actual cost of the subscription and boasts all full sized products, perfect for judging whether you like them or not.

Every month, the Nourish Beauty Box will offer 3 full-sized beauty products ranging from skincare/bodycare to makeup products, plus a limited edition eco-friendly tote bag, all of which can be purchased within their online shop if you happen to fall in love with something. The price of the box is $34.95 (£23.00)/month (FREE Worldwide delivery) and subscribers get at least $70 (around £46.00+) retail value in every box.

The May edition features products from Seraphine Botanicals, , Dermadeli, Velvet Organics and a limited edition eco-friendly canvas tote bag from Nourish Beauty Box.

1. Velvet Organics Detoxifying Dusk Mask – Full Size RRP £20.54

The first of the new discoveries is from Velvet Organics, a brand that hails all the way from the US and specialise in their very own handmade, powder facial cleansing masks with an ingredient list that’s small, legible and super concentrated so that you know exactly what you’re getting.

Made with the highest quality combination of clays, the Detoxifying Dusk Mask consists of a concentrated formula that works best for oily, acne-prone skin and promises to literally pullout blackheads and toxins out of the pores while improving circulation. Being on the oily side of the spectrum I’m really looking forward to giving this a go and I’m sure my skin will really thank me for it!

 2. Dermadeli Invigorating Vitamin C Serum – Full Size RRP £19.85

During spring and summer I swap out my heavy duty moisturiser for a serum instead, a lighter alternative that adequately tops me up on the hydration front so the Invigorating Vitamin C Serum by Dermadili is such a welcomed addition.

With Antioxidant and repair qualities from invigorating vitamin C the serum promises to  repair skin from UV damage, decreases wrinkles, and improves skin elasticity. The product needs to be kept refrigerated and the coolness feels so refreshing while the silky smooth texture feels heavenly on the skin. It also has very nice orange-y scent that’s a lovely pick me up in the mornings.

3. Seraphine Botanicals Carrot & Rose Hydrating Cream – Full Size 30ml RRP £19.61

Last but not least is the Carrot & Rose Hydrating Cream by Seraphine Botanicals, a lightweight, hydrating cream formulated with glycerin, a natural humectant that helps soothe normal to combination skin by locking in moisture all day. This silky, comfortable cream can be used on the face or body to help nourish and protect your skin without leaving a sticky, greasy feeling.

4. Eco-Friendly Canvas Tote Bag with Limited Edition Print – RRP £15.71

This month’s Eco-Friendly Canvas Tote Bag has such a fun twist to it and it’s robustness makes such a great bag to accompany you on shopping trips.

My Verdict

Month on month, the Nourish Beauty Box really does live up to its promise by delivering an all-natural and cruelty-free line up from make-up, skincare and body care products to a lifestyle item in the form of the canvas bag and in terms of this months offerings there’s definitely a good mix of skincare essentials crafted with pure, simple, powerful ingredients and no artificial nastiness sourced from across the globe. As always they’ve included some really interesting brands, all of which I wouldn’t have come across otherwise so it’s great for those who want to discover some hidden gems and whilst I haven’t fully made that transition to being 100% green my skin definitely loves the stuff! The only thing I would say is the line up is very skincare dominated so I hope they mix it up next month. In terms of the price point its a little bit more steep compared to other subscription but you can always expect to see full sized products with RRP’s that always exceeds the monthly subscription cost and they do feature brands that offer quality products.

If you love organic, natural and cruelty-free products or want to detoxify your beauty regime with a more friendly alternative the Nourish Beauty Box is the perfect way to enhance your beauty the natural way and also benefits the environment too.
