No. of items in the Bag – 4
Total value of contents in the box £77.80

First things first, can we take a moment to admire this months Lip Love Bag design, it’s ever so pretty (heart-eyed emoji!) and inside features some great pick me ups to achieve anything from an au-naturel look to something a little more chiseled for the evenings as well as a primer to keep it all in place.  Featuring some new discoveries from So Susan, Jelly Pong Pong and Trifle Cosmetics, there’s a good mixture of products which will complement all skintones and they are the perfect additions that will effortlessly bring a little sunshine to your make up bag.

The So Susan collection ranges from make-up to nail varnish combining their lovely portfolio of colours with science. Their philosophy is to create colours which last, are cruelty free and also much kinder to your skin. As well as the philosophy behind the brand, I love the feminine and pretty designed packaging which always stands out for me. I’ve tried quite a few products from their collection and already have a few firm favourites.

Each month, the Lip Love bag will include 3 full sized items and one bonus product from either Jelly Pong Pong or So Susan.

1.   Candied Apple by Trifle Cosmetics  –  Full Size RRP £15.95

The Candied Apple Lip & Cheek stain is a soft, delectably stain formulated with water-resistant, high-lustre mica to give you a beautiful lit-from-within glow as well as the most natural-looking blush. On first impressions this looked quite bright but once applied it’s a beautiful muted pink that I can see suiting all skin tones and the longevity is pretty impressive too. The only downside it’s a little on the sticky side.

2.   Primal Instinct By So Susan  – Full Size RRP £20.95

Primal Instinct by So Susan is a new addition to their ever-growing collection so I’m delighted that they included this within the line up. This super lightweight gel promises to glide on effortlessly to blur out large pores, facial imperfections and instantly helps to improve skintone and mattify unwanted shine. Being oily skinned, make up tends to slide off my face in the warmer months so it will be interesting to see how this compares to my current primer, it definitely sounds promising.

3.   Raspberry Ripple by Trifle Cosmetics – Full Size RRP £14.95

I do love a good compact and they’re great for lightning the load inside our make up bags but this one in particular is a little too teeny for my liking! These three light-enhancing blush shades promise to leave your cheeks smooth, plumped up and younger-looking cheeks. The left and middle shades (both with Radiance Glow ™ pigments) are applied onto apples of your cheeks when you need colour & illumination and the last shade on the right (with pure Resveratrol) helps to give colour, moisture & reduce hyper pigmentation. They’re are not heavily pigmented so perfect for days when you want to achieve a minimal look.

4.   Blush & Contour by Jelly Pong Pong  – Full Size RRP £13.95

Last but not least and to add additional warmth to your skin is the Jelly Pong Pong Blush & Contour that comes in a soft blusher shade & a shadow enhancer. The apricot and blossom-pink colours are just one notch up from natural and for a flattering high cheek bone, softly dust the brown-toned enhancer shade just below your cheekbones.

My Verdict

Month on month, I always look forward to my So Susan Lip Bag arriving after all a girl can never have enough make up and needless to say it’s such a great way to add to your current stash without having to spend a hefty amount. While summer seems somewhat confused there’s some great pops of colour inside this months curation that will effortlessly add a little sunshine to your make up bag and a healthy glow to your complexion in the most subtle way, perfect for those who prefer more of a natural look. Covering a good area of make up they’ve featured easy-to-wear shades that pretty much everyone will be able to pull off and as always the bag features all full sized products so it’s incredible value for money and great for those who want to discover more skin friendly and cruelty-free alternatives, all which are enclosed inside a very pretty designed canvas bag. The only downside for me this month was the size of the blusher palette, it’s extremely tiny and my brush really struggled to pick any product up!

The Lip Love Bag literally caters for every make-up addict regardless of whether you’re a pro or just want to experiment with different products and shades that may usually be outside of your comfort zone. One of the aspects I really love is that So Susan are always churning out new revolutionary products so you can always expect to discover something new as well as some of their classic and popular products too.

Since you’re in the UK like myself, how much is the likes of postage and do you get charged a non-sterling fee on the transaction? Also do you get that silly pay on delivery charge now being placed on a lot of US to UK deliveries? This is the main subscription you review I’m excited about but I just want to be informed before I commit. Thanks 🙂 x

    • Hi Amanda, I get this one each month, I’m UK. No extra fees, just the price of the bag which is about £16ish x
