I had the opportunity to review the very first *Little-Known box in May and was really happy to do so as it’s a box that definitely brings something unique and exciting to the table with a concept that solely focuses on introducing us to new brands and products. While there’s comfort in the familiar and trusted, there’s nothing quite like the feeling of discovering something new and the Little Known Box does exactly that by showing off some of the best premium, effective and innovative products on the market from independent, niche, upcoming and emerging brands with ethics and wellness in mind. I was pretty impressed with their May Box but the June edition definitely tops it and again does exactly what it intends to do with a line up covering a good area of beauty, good sized products and an incredible value to match.

Little-Known Box is the UK’s newest luxurious beauty subscription box, who promises to ship 5-6 products to you per month, to discover, try and enjoy at home. In addition to monthly subscriptions they also offer gift subscriptions and one-off boxes, providing a truly flexible beauty subscription experience! Featured brands are carefully selected and include full and sample size luxury products from skincare, makeup, hair, body and grooming products to nail care, nail art, lifestyle and beauty accessories (with the occasional surprise thrown in!). You might see some well known brands featured, but they will be little-known products or new launches! Here’s what was inside their June edition:

The French are renowned for their skincare products so this new find from Oxynergy Paris is such a welcomed addition. The Power Infuse Cushion Foam (full size 180ml RRP £23.50) is an ultra-smooth, mild and rich foaming cleanser with amino acids and essential trace  elements  (Copper,  Zinc,  Calcium,  Magnesium).  It  contains a  novel, natural and non-aggressive cleansing agent derived from sugar. Being sulphate-free it’s respectful  for  the  skin  and  for  the  environment.  The cushion  foam contains mini sponges that smoothly massage the skin.

Also on the skincare front you can expect to see the PHB Anti-Ageing Serum (Travel Size 15ml RRP £5.95), a kind to your skin serum powered by Organic Rose & Sea Buckthorn and is handcrafted with a deep penetrating blend of oils that provide essential nutrients, antioxidants and omegas to the lower layers of skin to help fight against signs of aging. With vitamin rich Organic Sea Buckthorn oil & Rose to help rejuvenate skin, smooth wrinkles, reduce dark spots and promote a radiant complexion.

The Soothing Organic Treatment Oil from Lucy Anabella (Travel Size 15ml RRP £6.00) not only quenches thirsty skin, it’s calming fragrance also helps to unwind from everyday stresses and is perfect for slathering on after a shower in the evening. Its multi-purpose usage means it can be used on the face, body and hair with Argan, Avocado and Apricot Oils the oil promises to infuse your skin with Antioxidant vitamins and deeply enrich and nourish your skin without leaving a greasy residue.

You’ve gotta love multitaskers, products that triple up are wonderful for lazy days and for travel and the Manna Kadar 3-in1 Blush Highlighter and Eyeshadow (full size RRP £13.12) is such a wonderful discovery. The shade Fantasy is a beautiful warm apricot shade, which is really lovely and I can definitely see myself using this but it’s a little shimmery for the day but perfect for those summer nights.

Another new discovery on board is the brand In The Buff  who specialise in 100% natural makeup, Vegan friendly & Cruelty free products. Their highlighter (Full Size RRP £14.00) promises to highlight, contour and add an all over glow to your face with a lightweight, fine milled powder that gives a natural glow to accentuate your key features and being oily skinned I love that this doesn’t clog up the pores.

Last but not least is a Leave in Conditoner and Argan Oil sample from Creme of Nature. Powered by the magic of Argan Oil, this duo promises to nourish and bring lacklustre hair back to life.

My Verdict

While I absolutely loved the their first ever edition in May I think their June box definitely knocked it out of the park with an interesting variety of new brands and products to explore and it impressively covers a good ground too with skin and body treats, hair rescuers and even some make up to get your summer glow on! I think we’re all guilty of gravitating towards certain brands but Little-Known Box really puts these non-mainstream brands and the latest innovations in the spotlight giving subscribers ample opportunity to road test some of these hidden gems in the form of full sized products plus some good sized samples too. In addition to the above you’ll also find exclusive discounts for each of the brands showcased so if you happen to fall in love with something there’s good savings to be had. All in all I’m incredibly delighted with the contents, the value and the fact that there are seven products inside the box and of those the majority are full sized! I’m happy to see a subscription box like this on the market and I can’t wait to see what they have in store for the next few months.

If you want to be introduced to a number of beautiful and interesting products then the Little-Known Box is definitely a box you’ll want to add to your list.
