You know that feeling when you open a beauty box and your eyes just light up with excitement well this is one of those moments all thanks to the *July Little-Known Box! Being fairly new to the subscription market they’ve definitely made their mark and while I’ve been impressed with every single edition the July line up is by far by favourite and includes an excellent variety and features some great travel must-haves as well as two gorgeous nail varnishes to get your nails summer-ready. Standing out from the crowd with a concept that solely focuses on introducing us to new brands and products, their curations show off some of the best premium, effective and innovative products on the market from independent, niche, upcoming and emerging brands with ethics and wellness in mind. Very quickly become a favourite of mine

Little-Known Box is the UK’s newest luxurious beauty subscription box, who promises to ship 5-6 products to you per month, to discover, try and enjoy at home. In addition to monthly subscriptions they also offer gift subscriptions and one-off boxes, providing a truly flexible beauty subscription experience! Featured brands are carefully selected and include full and sample size luxury products from skincare, makeup, hair, body and grooming products to nail care, nail art, lifestyle and beauty accessories (with the occasional surprise thrown in!). You might see some well known brands featured, but they will be little-known products or new launches! Here’s what was inside their July edition:

I’ve not had much luck this month in terms of the nail varnish shades I’ve received inside my boxes but Little-Known Box have featured not one but two gorgeous nail colours from HJ Manicure (£9.50 each), both of which are rocking those summer vibes. HJ Manicure boasts a portfolio of luxurious and on-trend nail polishes which are 5-free meaning they’re are free of Toluene, Formaldehyde Resin, Di-buty! Phthalate (DBP) and Camphor so their much more kinder to you and they certainly don’t compromise on the quality front.

On the skincare front you can expect to see the Balance Me Radiance Face Mask (Travel Size 30ml RRP £12.00) which claims to deeply cleanse, exfoliate and brighten the skin with an incredible line up of ingredients such as ground walnut shells, kaolin clay, rosemary, palma rose, lavender and chamomile oil. Unlike traditional face masks this works a little differently and has a similar consistency of an exfoliator. You simply rub in circular motions to release the beads and leave it for 5 minutes to work the rest of it’s magic before removing with warm water.

With an ever so dreamy whipped formula, the SoapNSkin Body Butter (Travel Size RRP £6.00) gives an instant hit of moisture that effortlessly absorbs into the skin without leaving you feeling greasy. The calming notes of lavender alongside the refreshing burst of lime really awakens the senses making it such a lovely pick me up for the mornings. Described as a sumptuous blend of rich plant butters and oils this rich & velvety body butter can be used on the whole body and is chock-full of natural ingredients to hydrate, protect and revive the skin in addition to being SLS  and Paraben-free.

When it comes to makeup products I use daily, mascara is always at the top of the list so this natural alternative from Odylique Natural Black Mascara (Full Size RRP £17.50) is such a welcomed addition. With smooth and fast-drying application, it promises to be smudge-resistant and is packed with deeply conditioning plant extracts like aloe vera, calendula and sea buckthorn fruit to beautifully define and care for your lashes. It’s also 100% natural and free from synthetic chemicals including solvents, fibres and plasticisers making it extremely kind to eyes and contact lens wearers. The formula makes my lashes look defined and even after a couple of coats it didn’t clump and is a great choice for when you want more of a natural look. It also holds up really well throughout the day, with very minimal flaking or smudging. That being said, it’s not a waterproof formula, so if you’re rubbing your eyes, or suffer from hayfever, you will notice some smudging.

Dry shampoos are such a saviour in between hair washes and are great for eradicating oil as well as adding volume to flat lifeless hair and the Zerreau Apple Scented Towel Off Shampoo (Travel Size 70ml RRP £3.99) is the next generation of dry shampoo allowing you to wash your hair without water and is described as a hybrid between normal and dry shampoo and comes in an delicious apple scent.

Last but not least there’s two sample sachets of Organic Argan Oil and Arbre d’or Eau De Parfum from Simply Argan.

My Verdict

Quite possibly my favourite edition since they launched earlier this year, Little-Known Box has very quickly become one of my most exciting monthly deliveries and for their July box we have another well-rounded beauty menu that contains a collective of new discoveries, generous sized travel samples and with travel in mind they’ve certainly stuck to the theme throughout. From the beautiful packing to the gorgeous handpicked selection and the fantastic value, I really can’t fault the effort that goes into their boxes and I love that they put non-mainstream brands and the latest innovations in the spotlight which in turn definitely puts the fun and excitement into the unboxing experience. In addition to the above you’ll also find exclusive discounts for each of the brands showcased so if you happen to fall in love with something there’s good savings to be had. If you want to be introduced to a number of beautiful and interesting that are sourced from ethical brands then the Little-Known Box is definitely a box you’ll want to add to your list.
