It’s Glossybox’s 5th Birthday and subscribers are in for a true celebratory treat this month as they’ve joined forces with luxe accessory label Rae Feather to bring an exclusive collectors edition – just look at that dreamy monogram box design! I’m a sucker for pretty collaborations and the *August Glossybox really does deliver inside and out with an all star line up to match. Inside you can expect to see a mix of travel-friendly and full sized products from skincare pick me ups, a gorgeous eye shadow palette as well as an subscriber-exclusive make-up bag. I think there’s a good mix this month from brands we all love and know in addition to a new discovery too and everything seems very useable for me so that’s definitely a bonus!

Glossybox is a monthly beauty subscription service. The box consists of 4-5 selected hair, make-up , body and nail products from well-known brands and new brands and includes a mixture of full sized and sample products.

1.  Mudmasky Facial Detox Purifying Recovery Mask  – Travel Size 20ml.

Described as a natural way to detoxify & renew your skin within a few minutes, the mask promises to refines pores and brighten, while keeping your skin hydrated and smooth. It also helps to balance your skin’s pH for a perfect complexion.

Being on the oily side of the spectrum I’m prone to random breakouts and I try to dedicate at least 10 minutes every Sunday evening to treat my skin to a mask, it’s the perfect way to kick-start the week so this new discovery from Mudmasky is such a welcomed addition as it targets quite few skin concerns.

2.  Cowshed Wild Cow Invigorating Body Lotion –  Travel Size 30ml

I love Cowshed products and you definitely need somewhat of a sense of humour to really appreciate this quintessentially British brand but their products are undoubtedly pampering, indulgent and kind to the skin.

The Wild Cow Invigorating Body Lotion contains the finest quality Shea and Cocoa Butters to moisturise and tone the skin with an energising infusion of Lemongrass, Ginger and Rosemary to help refresh and cleanse, awaken the senses and sharpen the mind. The texture of the cream is quite rich but feels really nourishing on the skin without that greasy feel and it’s great pick me up in the morning after a shower to wake up the body and mind.

3.  Spa to You Deep Pore Cleansing Facial Brush and Massager – RRP £6.99

There’s been a lot of hype everywhere around cleansing brushes and while I haven’t jumped on the band wagon the inclusion of the Spa To You Deep Pore Cleansing Brush and Massager inside this months box means I can finally join the deep cleansing club!

Soft against your skin, the gentle yet hard working bristles and the silicone massaging cushions not only pampers the skin but it effortlessly sweeps away dirt and makeup too leaving my skin feeling smooth, refreshed and squeaky clean. I’ll definitely be incorporating this into my current cleansing routine, I don’t know how I went so long without one!

4.  MUA Hall of Fame Eyeshadow Palette – RRP £4.00

Last month subscribers had the opportunity to choose one of four MUA palettes and with such a pretty selection on board I was secretly hoping for the Hall Of Fame Palette, a collection of 12 of MUA’s most popular shades.

Hall of Fame is more of a natural palette, so if you like your natural looks, then this palette is for you. The shimmery shades are beautiful and surprisingly it’s of good quality too. There’s a good selection of shades so if you wanted to go very natural for the day or something a little more bold for the evening then this very versatile palette can create a variety of looks. If you’re looking for a more affordable way to get some variety into your makeup collection, I highly recommend checking out MUA.

5.  Rae Feather Mini Monogram Porchette – Full Size RRP £20.00

Sticking to their birthday theme and collaboration with luxe accessory label Rae Feather, you can expect to see an exclusive canvas make-up pouch that been specially designed for this month’s edition and it’s the perfect size for the handbag or hand luggage.

 My Verdict

Glossybox have gone all out and celebrated their 5th Birthday in true style this month with an ever so dreamy collaboration with Rae Feather and inside you’ll find a host of loveable contents to match from pampering skincare, a gorgeous eyeshadow palette, a cleansing hero and a subscriber exclusive make up pouch – impressive right? I think they’ve showcased a pretty solid line up that’s well-rounded and features brands we’re all familiar with in addition to some new finds too making the balance just right and this is where their August edition really shines and excitingly for me it contains things that I love and will continue to use which is quite novel. This month’s box is worth over £55.00 so it’s definitely worth subscribing. Happy Birthday Glossbox, here’s to many more glossy years!
