*Pink Parcel is one of those boxes that sits at the top of my list when it comes to my favourite monthly deliveries and not only do I highly recommend it but I can also guarantee that it’s such a useful resource that ensures your fully stocked from the first day to the very last and the best bit you’ll also be introduced to a collective of goodies from beauty and lifestyle treats to distract you from that dreaded visitor. This genius concept which never fails to make me smile is executed to perfection month on month and for their August edition we have a mainly make-up line up (big thumbs up from me!) in addition to a post-shave rescuer and some yummy foodie treats and a power shot of matcha tea!

Pink Parcel is a subscription service for your monthly cycle who send you what you need, right when you need it as well as some lovely treats to brighten up those days of the month. With three dispatch dates to choose from, Pink Parcel literally take care of everything and will ship your box before your period is due. If you’re worried about flows and absorbency’s, they have that covered too as you can choose your preferred brand as well as the type of sanitary items to suit your flow making it completely bespoke to your needs.

1. Period Essentials

No matter what your cycle length is the amount of sanitary items and liners included within the box is impressive. You can also choose between receiving pads or tampons from a good selection of brands.

I was particularly happy to see popular brands on board such as Tampax, Always and Body Form. If you’re anything like me then this really helps avoid last-minute runs to the supermarket! There’s also a useful drawstring pouch filled with pads and liners that you can pop into your handbag straightaway.

2. Beauty & Lifestyle Treats – 5 Items

First up is the Sunkissed Shimmer Dust Brush (Full Size RRP £4.99), which is such a handy addition especially when the sunshine’s been pretty absent for most of the summer! Cleverly designed with a soft brush applicator, it easily dispenses the powder and you simply dust over your face and shoulders to achieve a beautiful light shimmery glow all year round!

It’s always delightful seeing So Susan products inside subscription boxes and while I’m a huge fan of their Lip Love Bag, I already own the Haute Light Pencil (RRP £14.95). This universally flattering ivory cream crayon brings your best features to light and is made with White Truffle extract & Eyeseryl® peptide to help reduce eyebags and increase skin elasticity. I love multi-tasking products and this pencil can be used on the brow bones, cheek bones & dark circles to instantly give your skin clarity & radiance. It can also be used as a shadow base to make colours pop that little more.

If you read my blog posts regularly you’ll know that I’ve been a little unlucky when it comes to lipstick shades so the Cougar Beauty 24 Hour Liquid Lipstick in Mulberry (Full Size RRP £15.00) really is a true treat and the colour is absolutely gorgeous and is exactly what I would have picked out myself! If you’re looking for a Kylie dupe that’s a little darker than Kandy K then this really ticks all the boxes. It dries matte, the shade really packs a punch and the longevity is just AH-mazing!

When it’s time to put on that new bikini, the SASS Intimate Perfect Skin Concentrate (sample size) comes to the rescue by caring for post-shave skin regardless of whether you wax or shave and is such a useful item to have on standby. Containing exfoliating Salicyclic Acid and Fruit Enzymes, it helps to prevent ingrown hairs while the Aloe Vera soothes and hydrates. Kelisoft helps to minimise hair regrowth.

It’s been a couple of months since we’ve seen a lifestyle product inside Pink Parcel so seeing the Estella Partlett bracelet (RRP £12.99) was a lovely surprise, I love the monochrome design!

3. Tea and Sweet Treats – 3 items

As well as the beauty and lifestyle line up you can also expect to see a sample of tea and some foodies treats, the perfect mix to satisfy those cravings and as always they sure do hit the spot but they always disappear so quickly!

We all crave something sweet during the time of the month and the pack of Emily Fruit Crisps and the Jealous Sweets Grizzly Bears hit all the right spots and are absolutely delicious. You can also expect to see a sachet of TeaPigs Matcha Green Tea

My Verdict

As per usual I’m delighted with this month’s offerings on all fronts and while their previous editions have been slightly more jam packed on the beauty front, the items selected for their August curation have definitely made up for the shortfall, a couple of which have very quickly made their way to my make-up stash! In addition to the beauty items and the gorgeous bracelet, I love the foodie treats we’ve been spoilt with especially the Emily Fruit Crisps that not only taste delicious but are also guilt-free too plus it’s always a pleasure seeing Jealous Sweets whose sweeties are ever so moreish and addictive! I love that the majority of brands featured were new finds for me, it certainly makes the unboxing more interesting. If you haven’t got on the Pink Parcel train yet then it’s definitely a subscription I highly recommend and the thrill of the surprise will not fail to make you look forward to that time of the month!
