Eeeek! Ladies, it’s time to get excited as this unboxing post unveils the first ever *Little Bit Lavish Beauty Box and oh my it’s exactly how I imagined it to be and so much more, it’s been curated to perfection and really sets out exactly what it intends to do, it’s pampering heaven! For their September edition we have a line up centred around the theme Mermaid Wishes with a apt collection of treasures from body treats, a hair hero as well as jewellery and chocolate to make us feel more Ariel-like and when you combine all the elements together it’s no surprise this edition sold out within record time, it’s definitely going to be a crowd pleaser and I love that everything’s skin friendly too meaning even the most sensitive of skins can enjoy the contents too.
Little Bit Lavish is a new subscription box with pampering in mind. Each item will be carefully chosen for you to enjoy as their belief is that all women deserve some time for themselves. Whether it be a long soak in the tub, a five minute face mask or something as simple as applying a lip balm! Their box of goodies will have a different theme each month, with the majority of our products being full size and will contain between 5-7 carefully selected pampering treats from beauty, skincare and the odd makeup item plus a lifestyle item and something edible or drinkable. The brands they’ll be featuring will be a mixture of established companies to cottage industries with the intention of mainly focusing on organic or natural and cruelty free products.
Here’s a quick overview of what they featured inside their September edition:
Filled with what every mermaid loves most to soften the skin…salt, this award worthy ocean inspired Sea Salt Body Scrub by Seascape Island Apothecary (Full Size RRP £16.00) really transports me back to the sea, sun and sand of Dubai and is such an apt addition to get your skin looking and feeling refreshed and renewed, it really is summer in a tub! Containing pure sea salt to nourish the skin, unclog pores and help remove dead skin cells., it’s also infused with 100% natural essential oils of Jersey Eucalyptus to stimulate the mind, lime oil to energise the body, Jersey Lavender to refresh the senses and beeswax to nourish the skin. It also boasts no parabens, no silicones, no SLS, no petroleum, no artificial colours, no artificial fragrances.
I’ve loved what I’ve tried so far from Organic Surge and the 2-Minute Moisture Mask (Full Size RRP £8.95) is such a welcomed addition as it targets my particular hair concerns plus it contains no harsh chemicals so it’s perfect for my hair extensions too! Aimed at dull, dry hair, the mask contains coconut oil and plant extracts to penetrate the hair shaft and helps to protect from the inside out, leaving hair silky, smooth and manageable.
Up next is the Cornish Seaweed Bath Co Soap (Full Size RRP £2.50) made in the traditional cold press way and contains the goodness of seaweed extract, a few natural oils and essential oils. The soap promises to leave you feeling soft and fantastic, and smelling amazing!
Who doesn’t want to be a wannabe mermaid? This Little Miss Mermaid Bath Fizzy (Full Size £2.25) sets the scene perfectly and allows you to immerse yourself into the deep blue sea with a sprinkle of glitter, it’s such a cute addition!
Last but not least and sticking to the mermaid theme, Little Bit Lavish have also featured a beautiful Abalone Shell Necklace by Accessories by Flavia (RRP £19.00) and some Guylian Chocolates – Yum!
My Verdict
So there you have it, the first ever Little Bit Lavish Box and what a mermaidtastic debut it is! Filled with a little bit of everything to channel your inner sea goddess, they’ve stuck to the theme throughout and I absolutely adore the summery assortment of products plus have I mentioned what an amazing value the box is, everything’s full sized which is really impressive. In terms of the presentation I love the attention to detail, it’s the little things that do it for me and when a brand takes the time to make that extra effort it really shows their love and passion, something that’s very evident inside their first edition.
In addition to the above the majority of the brands were all new finds for me making the unboxing experience so much more fun and exciting and is one of the reasons why this box really shines. All in all, I definitely fell head over heels with this box and every product they featured which is quite novel! If their September box is anything to go by then I can see the Little Bit Lavish being a huge hit within the subscription market and needless to say they’ve definitely nailed their first ever edition – job well done I’d say!
