As always, Glossybox gets a serious A+ when it comes to their packaging and presentation and their September Collector’s edition in collaboration with Red Magazine is no exception. Dressed for the occasion with a bold red box they’ve featured a collective of skincare saviours as well some make-up treats to make that transition from summer to autumn effortless plus it features six products this month which is pretty AH-mazing. I love the variety this month and to top it off they’ve also partnered with some great brands too!

Glossybox is a monthly beauty subscription service. The box consists of 4-5 selected hair, make-up , body and nail products from well-known brands and new brands and includes a mixture of full sized and sample products.

1.  Rodial Smokey Eye Pen  – Full Size RRP £17.00.

I do love a good black eyeliner and this one by Rodial appears to be a goodie upon first swatch! With super-rich pigment and gel-effect definition, this long-lasting soft formula can be easily blended to create a dramatic smokey eye.

2.  Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara –  Travel Size

I never say to no a travel sized sample of something that I already love and use! Popularly known for it’s bold claims and it’s pretty impressive reviews, the Better Than Sex Mascara has a unique hourglass-shaped brush that achieves great separation and curl whilst coating each lash with ease. It has a few unique selling points including a film-forming polymer to give a smudge-proof all-day wear, Senegal tree extract to nourish lashes and peptides to give a deep black colour payoff.

Without a doubt this makes my lashes look amazing, it gives volume, length and drama which are key things I look for in a mascara.

3.  Revlon Gel Envy Diamond Top Coat – Full Size RRP £7.99

The Revlon ColorStay nail varnishes are my absolute favourite from the high street to mimic that gel manicure so I was delighted to welcome their Diamond Top Coat to my collection.

Described as their toughest top coat yet, with exclusive Diamond Flex Technology™, it’s specifically designed to activate the ColorStay Gel Envy Nail Enamel and boasts shatter-proof strength and a diamond-like shine lustrous and the best bit it’s also a doddle to remove unlike traditional gel polishes.

4.  Philosophy amazing grace Firming Body Emulsion – Travel Size

If you like clean scents that are light and make you feel like you’ve just had a shower then you’ll love Philosophy’s Amazing Grace Firming Emulsion.

The formula is really thick yet it absorbs into skin almost immediately and leaves it feeling nice and soft throughout the day however I didn’t notice any firming as claimed. For me personally it’s the fragrance and the hydrating properties that really shine. I really love this new find and will definitely be picking up the full size once this one runs out.

5.  Vitamasques Hydro Face Mask – RRP £7.99

Sheet masks are a relatively new skincare trend that has completely blown up over the last year in the UK, and if you haven’t had a chance to try one yet, it’s never too late to join the party thanks to this month’s Glossybox!

The Hydro Face Mask has been designed to provide hydration and moisture retention in the skin. The mask contains the patented AMF (Artificial Moisturising Factor) which enhances the skin’s ability to retain moisture and is proven to keep the skin hydrated for up to 120 hours. Containing extracts from the Rose of Jericho, this key ingredient enhances and further optimises moisture retention in the skin.

6. The Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask – x1 sachet 5ml

Last but not least is an extra bonus sample thrown in for good measure from The Body Shop. Inspired by Ayurvedic traditions, this 100% vegan tingling clay mask is infused with bamboo charcoal, green tea leaves and organic tea tree oil. And it’s been formulated without parabens, paraffin, silicone or mineral oil. This invigorating charcoal face mask draws out impurities and refines the appearance of pores for healthy-looking skin with a glow.

 My Verdict

Dressed for the occasion in red, I’m really impressed with the September Glossybox in collaboration with Red Magazine, it’s probably one of the best I’ve received this year mainly because they’ve featured things that I love and will definitely will make use out of so that alone deserves a round of applause. In terms of the line up I think this was a solid box and it was pleasing to see a good balanced menu with a mixture of full sized products and generous sized samples from a good selection of brands but I was very surprised that they didn’t include a copy of Red Magazine for this collaboration but that’s just me being a little greedy I think! All in all I absolutely loved this month’s edit and really feel that they’ve upped their game of late.

October Spoiler: Inside next month’s box you’ll discover an innovative formula from Universal Beauty Cosmetics that will leave your cheeks and lips glowing with a subtle flush of healthy colour!
