It’s hard to believe another month is winding down, although I have to admit I’m pretty excited for autumn now and with this change in season, the Pink Parcel fairy has worked her magic again to bring a whole lot of cheer to make that time of the month more bearable. For their *September edition they’ve featured the usual sanitary essentials to ensure you’re fully stocked in addition to a host of solid beauty and lifestyle staples that has all bases covered (including creating some ambience). It’s the perfect curation that will not fail to warm up your complexion on those chilly mornings and also includes some key essentials for those cosy nights in!

Pink Parcel is a subscription service for your monthly cycle who send you what you need, right when you need it as well as some lovely treats to brighten up those days of the month. With three dispatch dates to choose from, Pink Parcel literally take care of everything and will ship your box before your period is due. If you’re worried about flows and absorbency’s, they have that covered too as you can choose your preferred brand as well as the type of sanitary items to suit your flow making it completely bespoke to your needs.

1. Period Essentials

No matter what your cycle length is the amount of sanitary items and liners included within the box is impressive. You can also choose between receiving pads or tampons from a good selection of brands.

I was particularly happy to see popular brands on board such as Tampax, Always and Body Form. If you’re anything like me then this really helps avoid last-minute runs to the supermarket! There’s also a useful drawstring pouch filled with pads and liners that you can pop into your handbag straightaway.

2. Beauty & Lifestyle Treats – 5 Items

First up and the one item I couldn’t wait to swatch is the ever so pretty I-Glow Mini in Coral Crush (RRP £16) by New CID Cosmetics. This baked shimmer powder is the perfect companion to fake that glow during the winter months plus I love the compact size, there’s even a mirror inside making it ideal for travel. The shade is a lovely coral-y pink and warms up your natural features while still managing to look natural.

The AA Skincare Seaweed & Aloe Eye Gel (Full size RRP £6.96) is a product I love and already use so I’m delighted to have a back up although it does seem to last forever!  AA Skincare boast many years of experience in aromatherapy and natural skincare, creating naturally effective products to give your skin a treat without costing the earth. This dual purpose eye gel with Seaweed and Aloe gently offers rehydration for the delicate skin around the eyes and also safely removes make up leaving you feeling soothed and refreshed. With natural extracts of Eyebright and Cornflower, the gel soothes whilst the Cucumber adds to the hydrating and calming effect.

Having gone a plum shade a couple of months ago, it’s such a pain to maintain and in my experience fades so quickly so the Schwarzkopf Bonacure Colour-Freeze Shampoo (travel size 50ml) is such a welcomed addition inside this month’s Pink Parcel. Described as effective yet very gentle, the Color Freeze Sulphate-Free Shampoo lightly cleanses your hair without compromising its colour and also has added UV filters to protect the hair from damaging ultraviolet radiation.

If you struggle to sleep during your period then the Cotswold Lavender Slumber Spray (travel size) comes to the rescue when you need a little helping hand. Designed to help you get a better nights sleep the relaxing fragrance promises to lull you into a restful nights sleep.

Who doesn’t love scented candles? Candles are by far one of my favorite ways to relax and the Pink Parcel Relax Tea Light Set (RRP £5.99) are aptly scented with Lavender and are the perfect companions for those cosy evenings.

3. Tea and Sweet Treats – 3 items

As well as the beauty and lifestyle line up you can also expect to see a sample of tea and some foodies treats, the perfect mix to satisfy those cravings and as always they sure do hit the spot but always disappear so quickly!

Inside this month’s curation you’ll find a bar of Ombar, a coconut and cranberry tea from Cuppanut and pack of oat crackers from Nairns. Needless to say they all went down a treat!

My Verdict

I don’t how they do it but once again Pink Parcel have pulled out all the stops to bring another jam packed edition with a delightful line up of beauty and lifestyle treats that’s guaranteed to make that time of the month a much happier one and is such a great resource that ensures you’re fully stocked eradicating those mad dashes to the supermarket something I really don’t miss!  For their September edition I love what they’ve chosen and the best bit is there’s a whole host of new finds to distract the mind which is turn makes the unboxing experience that little more exciting. While Pink Parcel always cover a good area of beauty it was really refreshing to see the sleep spray and the candles as there’s nothing quite like creating a bit of  ambience to get your mind in a more relaxed place and these will certainly come in handy to switch off from work in the evenings. On the foodie front there’s something sweet and savoury so it’s a good balance and as for the Cuppanut Tea it’s pink, really warms the soul and smells absolutely divine, it’s quite an unusual blend but it works!

If you haven’t got on the Pink Parcel train yet then it’s definitely a subscription I highly recommend and the thrill of the surprise will not fail to make you look forward to that time of the month!
