Pink Parcel has definitely become a monthly staple for me, I really can’t imagine my time of the month without it now and neither do I miss those mad dashes to the supermarket! This ingenious and ever so well curated concept not only provides you with your monthly must-haves in terms of pads and tampons but it also delivers a host of treats in the form of beauty and lifestyle products to make us feel that little more human and pampered! For their *October edition there’s so much to love from skincare must-haves, make-up, a set of nail polishes as well as tea and cake.

Pink Parcel is a subscription service for your monthly cycle who send you what you need, right when you need it as well as some lovely treats to brighten up those days of the month. With three dispatch dates to choose from, Pink Parcel literally take care of everything and will ship your box before your period is due. If you’re worried about flows and absorbencies, they have that covered too as you can choose your preferred brand as well as the type of sanitary items to suit your flow making it completely bespoke to your needs.

1.  Period Essentials

No matter what your cycle length is the amount of sanitary items and liners included within the box is impressive. You can also choose between receiving pads or tampons from a good selection of brands.

I was particularly happy to see popular brands on board such as Tampax, Always and Body Form. If you’re anything like me then this really helps avoid last-minute runs to the supermarket! There’s also a useful drawstring pouch filled with pads and liners that you can pop into your handbag straightaway.

In addition to the essentials above Pink Parcel have also included a 10ml sample of the SASS Purifying Cleanser which has been specially created to help you feel fresh throughout the day. Their gentle PH formula contains special Ecodermine technology that acts as a probiotic to maintain intimate harmony, soothes the skin and helps you be at your best.

2.  Beauty Treats – 5 Items

Up first on the the skincare front you can expect to see a generous sized sample of the Merumaya Melting Cleansing Balm (Travel Size 25ml). Using a double cleanse method, it removes make up and grime first, and on second use it cleans your skin. This luxurious balm is infused with skin loving ingredients such as sweet almond oil, echium seed oil (RevitElix™), Mangosteen extract and the MERUMAYA Signature Essence Blend which smells utterly divine with a subtle floral fragrance. It’s also suitable for all skin types including oily and spot-prone skin making it such an apt addition inside this month’s box.

I’m sure I’m not the only one who gets those obvious tell-tale signs in the form of spots and oily skin before their period so the addition of the Anatomicals Grease Isn’t The Word Mattifying Face Mask (RRP £1.00) is definitely something I’ll be making use out. It promises to leaves your skin feeling renewed and glowing with health and benefits from controlling the growth of blackheads too.

The Dr.PAW PAW Original Balm (Full Size £6.95) is something that already resides in my handbag and is such a great multitasker that will solve all those skin and hair winter woes! Made from a variety of natural ingredients including Pawpaw (Papaya), Olive Oil and Aloe Vera Oil this versatile balm can be used on dry areas, as a lip balm, moisturiser, cuticle cream, smoothing the hair or to treat skin conditions such as dermatitis and eczema. It’s even gentle enough to use on a baby’s bottom as a nappy cream which really gives you an idea of how natural and gentle the formula is.

While I’m very familiar with the Barry M nail varnishes this is my first introduction to the make-up range and judging by the swatch the Pressed Eyeshadow in the shade is Mushroom (RRP £2.99) is such an easy to wear muted taupe with a hint of shimmer and is something that you’ll be able to pull off both day and night.

My love for nail varnish knows no end so the Rare Nail Polish Set in Underworld (RRP £11.95) is definitely my favourite from the line up. The set contains three nail varnish shades in addition to some nail art stickers with a Halloween theme. I love the colours but don’t think I’ll get much use out of the stickers so I’ll probably pass these onto my sister.

3. Tea and Sweet Treats – 3 items

As well as the beauty  line up you can also expect to see a sample of tea and some foodies treats, the perfect mix to satisfy those cravings and as always they sure do hit the spot but always disappear so quickly!

Inside this month’s curation you’ll find a sachet sample of Vita Coco Coconut OilCoco Bazaar Fruitcake and a sample of We Are Tea mint, ginger and fennel tea.

My Verdict

As always Pink Parcel is such a great resource that not only ensures you’re fully stocked but the additional delights in the form of beauty and lifestyle treats never fails to deliver that much needed pick me up. Their October edition was very practical, contained generous sized products and was perfectly curated to prepare me for whatever the time of the month threw at me plus their selection of beauty picks were spot on for the upcoming colder months. From skincare saviours, to make up and a nail varnish set not forgetting the food and tea treats, it was another jam-packed edition with a quite a few new discoveries too. Plus, I’m delighted to have a full sized tube of the Dr Paw Paw Original Balm as my current sample is nearing the end!

If you haven’t got on the Pink Parcel train yet then it’s definitely a subscription I highly recommend and the thrill of the surprise will not fail to make you look forward to that time of the month!
