After last month’s show stopping collective it was definitely going to be a tough one to beat it and although the Enchanted Edit didn’t really wow me as much there’s a good selection on board especially if you’re curious about any of the brands/products featured or want to up your make up and skin care game plus how awesome is the make up bag – I’m sure we can all relate! I’m a little late to the party with my post this month but here’s a round up of just some of the new additions which you can expect to see inside the boutique. 1. Benefit – (Deluxe samples. 15 credits each)
Covering eye and brow make up alongside a liquid bronzer you can expect to see a number deluxe samples from Benefit inside this month’s collective.
Anyone else feel naked without doing their brows? I do and as a result I’ve ended up with quite a collection of products in the last couple of years! On the brow front we have the Goof Proof Brow Pencil (Deluxe sample 11g), a unique angular, tear drop shaped crayon that’s gives you precision, quick and effortless brow shaping with a workable smooth formula that works great over sparse areas to quickly fill them in.
So after all that hard work perfecting your brows you’ll of course need to make sure they don’t shift and the Ready, Set, Brow Clear Brow Gel (deluxe size) promises to lasts an incredible 24 hours! ThE clear gel shapes & tames brows and locks on makeup so brows don’t pull a disappearing act with a quick to dry formula.
I’ve never really understood the hype around the Benefit mascaras however I’ve got to hand it to them, the Roller lash Mascara (Deluxe sample) is a pretty awesome mascara that’s definitely worth the hype! Inspired by hot rollers, Roller Lash promises to deliver ultra long, curled lashes for a high impact look. You don’t get quite as much volume with this formula, but the length and curl really are quite impressive hence why this mascara is firm favourite within my stash.
Last but not least from the Benefit collection is Dew the Hoola liquid bronzer (Deluxe sample), a fairly new launch from Benefit! If you’re a fan of the Benefit Hoola Powder Bronzer then this liquid version provides a smooth, lightweight and not too shimmery finish and gives the skin a natural glowy look.
2. Nuxe ( Sample size. 10 Credits each)

The Reve de Miel cleanser (Sample size 15ml) is a gentle, soap-free make up remover and cleanser with Honey and Sunflower cleanses, soothes and removes make up in one go while being kind to your skin too.
If you love the scent of fresh rose bouquets then you’ll love the Gentle Exfoliating Gel with Rose Petals (Sample size 15ml). This heavenly gel gently and delicately removes impurities, making my face feel fresh but not overcleansed where it’s left feeling uncomfortable. The exfoliating particles are made with lychee seeds and nutshell powder, while rosemary water works as an anti-microbial astringent to purify the skin and normalize oil production.
The Nuxe Creme Prodigieuse Anti-Fatigue Moisturising Cream (Sample size 15ml) is something that’s popped up many times inside beauty boxes and I’ve got quite a collection! contains an innovative complex of anti-oxidants and active ingredients that work to relieve stressed complexions while hydrating and refreshing the skin too. I already own this and is something I reach for when my skin feels lifeless!
When it comes to bedtime rituals the Reve De Miel Hand and Nail Cream (Travel Size 30ml) is my preferred choice as I find it a little too rich for daily use. It contains ingredients such as Chilean rose and Acacia honey which gives a sweet subtle floral fragrance and does an excellent job to soften and relieve any dryness.
4. Merumaya – (10 credits)
Using a double cleanse method, the Merumaya Melting Cleansing Balm (Travel Size 25ml). it removes make up and grime first, and on second use it cleans your skin. This luxurious balm is infused with skin loving ingredients such as sweet almond oil, echium seed oil (RevitElix™), Mangosteen extract and the Merumaya Signature Essence Blend which smells utterly divine with a subtle floral fragrance.
My Verdict
While this month’s edit didn’t really excite me in comparison to last month, I think the October boutique does exactly what it intends to do, and that’s to provide a variety of make up and skin care samples geared towards the winter months. There’s no full sized products this month but all the samples are generous in size and adequate enough for you to judge whether you like them or not so it’s a great way to try out a brand/product you’ve been curious about without having to splurge on full sized products. Also how amazing is the make up bag this month – I think we can all relate especially when those spending bans are in place!!
