Growing leaps and bounds since they first launched their ingenious concept, I’ve followed Pink Parcel’s journey right from the very start so this month’s special collaboration with Look Magazine not only is a huge milestone for them but excitingly they’ve mixed things up in terms of the line up so there’s a little variation inside everyone’s boxes for this month only. As well as your monthly must-haves in terms of pads and tampons there’s the usual host of beauty and lifestyle treats to make us feel that little more human and pampered, all of which have been chosen by Look Magazines very own team and what a fab job they’ve done as the line up literally covers all areas of beauty! Lastly, this collaboration wouldn’t be complete without a copy of Look Magazine so you can also expect to see a copy amongst this month’s line up too!

Pink Parcel is a subscription service for your monthly cycle who send you what you need, right when you need it as well as some lovely treats to brighten up those days of the month. With three dispatch dates to choose from, Pink Parcel literally take care of everything and will ship your box before your period is due. If you’re worried about flows and absorbencies, they have that covered too as you can choose your preferred brand as well as the type of sanitary items to suit your flow making it completely bespoke to your needs.

1.  Period Essentials

No matter what your cycle length is the amount of sanitary items and liners included within the box is impressive. You can also choose between receiving pads or tampons from a good selection of brands.

I was particularly happy to see popular brands on board such as Tampax, Always and Body Form. If you’re anything like me then this really helps avoid last-minute runs to the supermarket! There’s also a useful drawstring pouch filled with pads and liners that you can pop into your handbag straightaway.

2. Beauty Treats – 6 Items

Chosen by Look Magazine’s very own team here’s what goodies I got inside my box:

Up first inside my box there’s a new skincare discovery from Carnaby & Cross in the form of their Gemmotherapy Extra Moisture Face Mask (x1), a delicately woven sheet mask that treats your skin to a super surge of moisture and contains an interesting mix of ingredients from buds and young shoots of trees, shrubs and marine plant life. The ingredients alone have got me so intrigued!

With a multitude of scents as well as catering for all hair woes and hair colours, Baptiste is a true classic and a favourite amongst many when it comes to Dry Shampoo. While I’ve not tried anything recently from their collection the Tropical Dry Shampoo (travel size 50ml) really is summer in a spray and comes in a handy size to slip into the handbag or hand luggage for a quick refresh when you’re on the go.

The Aussie Hair Care 3 Minute Miracle Reconstructor Deep Conditioner (sample sachet) is something I think the majority of us have tried at least once! Promising to reconstruct damaged hair, smooth and soothe until it’s manageable and ready to go in a matter of 3 minutes, it uses a unique and very, very top-secret formula with Australian Balm Mint and is ideal to have on standby when your hair needs rescuing.

I know I have more nail polish than I probably could use in a lifetime, but it’s so fun discovering a new shade especially when it’s from my one of my favourite brands Nails Inc and it’s a generous full size too! Described as a barely there peach (in my opinion it’s more of a pale pink), Whitehall is the ideal 9 to 5 shade that you’ll also be able to pull off all year round, it’s so pretty and can easily be jazzed up with some glitter!

With party season soon upon us the Ciate Mini Liquid Velvet in Diva (sample size) is the perfect party red without any orange tones which pleases me immensely! Free from parabens, sulphates and phthalates, the formula promises to deliver a creamy, non-drying colour with highly pigmented pay off and utilises Ciaté’s proprietary blend of moisturising PlushPigment™ to create lush, velvety colour.

Last but not least and a must-have to slough away dull winter skin is the Balance Me Super Toning Body Polish (Travel size 50ml), a formula that boasts some great key benefits including improved skin tone, smoothness, and elastin-boosting properties. The product uses ground walnut shells and blackberry leaf extract to work powerfully to buff away dead skin cells  to encourage cell renewal. The signature blend by Balance Me also includes naturally active essential oils including, juniper, geranium, lavender and bergamot which help to purify the skin giving it a wonderful relaxing scent. I’ve tried this scrub from a previous box and absolutely loved the relaxing scent. It’s perfect for the evenings when you need to unwind and is also gentle for every day use too.

3. Tea and Sweet Treats – 2 items

As well as the beauty  line up you can also expect to see a sample of tea and chocolate, the perfect mix to satisfy those cravings and as always they sure do hit the spot but always disappear so quickly!

Inside this month’s curation you’ll find a sachet of Spiced Chai Latte from Drink Me Chai and an Ombar Strawberry Mylk chocolate bar

My Verdict

I think there’s so much to love about this month’s Pink Parcel and with this edition being their first ever collaboration they’ve absolutely nailed it from the partnership with Look Magazine to the solid line up, it’s definitely a firm favourite of mine and I’m delighted that I’ll be able to make use out of every single item! Contents wise, they’ve impressively covered all bases on the beauty front and is just one of the main reasons why this curation really shines plus they partnered with some great brands this month not forgetting the lovely tea and chocolate which always goes down a treat! Another welcome addition amongst the goodies was the latest edition of Look Magazine and you’ll also find an exclusive magazine subscription offer within the Pink Parcel booklet.  All in all I absolutely loved this month’s edit and I hope to see something similar in the near future – job well done I’d say!

If you haven’t got on the Pink Parcel train yet then it’s definitely a subscription I highly recommend and the thrill of the surprise will not fail to make you look forward to that time of the month!
