The November *Look Incredible Deluxe Box has landed and while it’s not the most exciting edition I’ve received from them it definitely appears to be a useful one with a selection of pampering essentials to perk up dull winter skin in addition to some make up treats. While Look Incredible have again featured some great brands such as Marc Jacobs and NARS it was quite refreshing to see a couple of newbies on board too not to mention that all five products are full sized so it’s another value for money haul, something you can always expect to see inside their editions.

Here’s a quick overview of what’s inside this month’s edition:

I’ve got to admit it was the Marc Jacob Nudes Sheer Gel Lipstick (RRP £24.00) that immediately grabbed my attention on first glance, it comes in a sleek, pale nude casing with a magnetic clasp and Marc Jacobs embossed on the front – it’s stunning! In terms of the shade, I personally find nudes a little difficult to pull off as they make me look so ghastly so I really didn’t have high hopes for this suiting my complexion! Well I wasn’t wrong, the shade Anais is a sheer yet shiny light peach wash of colour and unfortunately does not look flattering on me at all! Having said that though the formula is lightweight, applies easily and is so comfortable to wear.

The Hi Impact Brow Palette (RRP £18.00) is something I’ve received inside another box and while I really loved it back then I’ve now moved onto another palette so I’ll probably gift this to my 13 year old sister who’s experimenting with every brow formula out there at the moment!  With 4 different shades ranging from blonde to black this can be used to fill out brows, eyeshadow and even eye liner. This versatile palette also comes with a mirror and a brush so it’s perfect to have on the go, especially if you are out day to night – it creates such a lovely smokey eye. The pigments are pretty impressive too so you only need to dab the brush a little.

The last of the make additions comes from NARS in the form of their Duo Eyeshadow (RRP £24.99 shades may vary) in the shade Star Sailor and is described as a heather gold/antique bronze duo. I’ve got a few of these duos from NARS and sometimes I look at the shade combinations and wonder if they’ll go together, but they always do in a very unexpected, genius way!  Each shade can be worn separately or together and as with all their duos the colours are easy blend and are incredibly pigmented. I think the shades are perfect for the party season and evenings out.

My skin certainly require more TLC than usual in the colder months so these two new discoveries are apt additions inside this month’s box. Up first and to reveal radiant, smooth skin is the Ahava Dead Sea Salt Butter Scrub (Full size 235ml RRP £16.99), a blend of Dead Sea Salt crystals, fragrant essential oils and concentrated Dead Sea minerals that gently exfoliates dead cells with a formula that transforms into a rejuvenating lotion for intense hydration. Last but not least is the Spa Retreata Indulgence Hand & Body Lotion (Full size 275ml RRP £17.99) that contains essential oil of Damask Rose and Rose geranium in addition to Vitamin E and sweet almond oil to help soften and smooth the skin. The rose notes are very dominant in this lotion and unfortunately I’m not a fan so I’ll probably use this as a hand cream instead.

My Verdict

Look Incredible hardly disappoint with their editions and without fail there’s always something that I manage to fall in love with but the main appeal for me is the fact it introduces me to products from brands that I love and know, majority of which are all from the aisles of department stores and sometimes the odd new discovery so it’s a great way to add to your current stash without making a hefty splurge. Even though I wasn’t excited by a couple of the products inside this month’s edition, there’s quite a few highlights and everything was geared towards the season from the make up shades to the pampering body care. Once again all five items are full size so it’s a great haul for only £35.00 plus the body cream and exfoliator are huge so they’ll see me right through to the new year! I’m a little disappointed that the Marc Jacobs lipstick didn’t suit me but at the same time I loved the formula so I’m hoping amongst the collection there’s a perfect nude for me!
