After a couple of dull shortlist menus, the November You Beauty Box Shortlist finally managed to spark my interest again and this month I decided to go with the shower gel and the face mask – two practical products that i’d definitely make use out of and come from brands I’ve not had the opportunity to try so it was kind of a no brainer. Focusing on the perfect tonics for autumn blues and to get you ready for party season in no time, the Luxe Gift Guide Edit showcases a good area of beauty from both popular and up and coming brands and as always they’ve thrown in some bonus products too. With three different membership options now in force you can now add up to 4 beauty treats from the shortlist each month with subscriptions starting from only £6.95.

1. Emma Bridgewater Feels Like Home Body Wash – Full Size 200ml RRP £9.00

You really can’t help but fall in love with the Emma Bridgewater homeware range so I was pretty chuffed I managed to grab this body wash as it went out of stock on the same day!

With a mix of camomile, lavender and orange blossom, mimics the simple pleasure of a well-loved home in particular sheets blowing on the washing line, newly waxed floors and summer herbs hung up to dry! I love to coordinate my shower gel with the mood I’m in and this seems like a good choice for the evenings to help relax, unwind and forget about the day.

2.  Masque Bar Anti-Blemish Mud Mask – x1

I can’t even remember the last time I used a mud mask mainly because I have a huge sheet mask stockpile that I’m working my way through so I thought I’d go back to basics again and try out the Masque Bar Anti-Blemish Mud Mask, a brand I’m not familiar with but their collection of masks have glowing reviews.  This mud based mask promises to soothe irritated skin and bumps while helping control excess oil with a non-drying formulation that purifies and balances the complexion, leaving the skin feeling calm and clearer. One of the main ingredients is Tea Tree something I’m a huge fan of, it works wonders on spots so I was already sold! I’ve got a rotten cold at the moment and my skin isn’t looking its best so I’ll definitely be applying this before I go back to work.

3. Extra samples inside the box:

As always, the You Beauty Box always includes some extra bonus treats and this months edition features Popband Santa Baby Hair Tie Pack (2x hair ties)7th Heaven Strengthen Nail and Cuticle Finger Masques (10 Finger Masks) and an Eau De Parfum sample of Flower By Kenzo (1ml).

Inside your box you’ll also find a 25% off (no minimum spend) promo code from Leonie Saliba who specialises in luxury personalised accessories from coin purses, card wallets to the most adorable keyrings. The ever so lovely Leonie kindly got in touch and personalised two card wallets for both me and my husband to feature on my blog post so readers can get a feel of the her brand and some of the amazing work she does. If you’re looking for a Christmas gift or a keepsake for yourself then I highly recommend checking out her collection, not only are the wallets fantastic quality and boast being leather, they also have a sophisticated look and feel to them too and are perfect size to slip into the handbag or pocket.

My Verdict

While the beauty box subscription market is growing on a daily basis, You Beauty Box still comes out on top and is such a fantastic budget friendly option that caters for every beauty fan. After pausing my subscription for a couple of months due to the underwhelming shortlist menus, this month’s selection is definitely back on form and I’m really pleased with my picks especially the shower gel which not only is full sized but it smells rather heavenly too plus I can finally say that I own something from the Emma Bridgewater range – the beauty of beauty boxes!

Coming in at only £6.95, not only is it affordable but it also gives subscribers a great opportunity to sample products from well-known, loved and emerging beauty brands. One of the aspects I love about this box is that I have full control of what’s inside as well as receiving some additional bonus samples too. If you’re new to the beauty box concept then this is definitely a great purse friendly box to start off with and If you do happen to fall in love with something there’s a few discount codes from the brands featured this month too.
