It’s been a while since I’ve done a full blown review of a Dollibox so it’s great to welcome them back to the blog and what a fab curation they’ve put together for us for their November edition! Featuring two of favourite brands they already had a great head start but to top it off there’s also some new discoveries on board making this edition rank quite high in comparison to previous months. Inside there’s an interesting mix of things to try from both well-known and emerging brands, something I really love about their curations plus they’ve covered a good ground too on the beauty front with generous sized products so there’s a good opportunity to really try things out.

Dollibox is a monthly subscription service for UK based beauty lovers. You’ll receive five personalised beauty samples, sometimes full-sized every month, tailored to your beauty profile as well as tips and tutorials centered around the products you receive.

1. OSIS+ Soft Glam Plumping Shine Mousse – Full Size 200ml RRP £10.75

I’ve got to admit this is probably the only dud for me inside this month’s box mainly because I just don’t use mousse and think the Glossy Holdspray (the other variation) would have got more use but nonetheless it’s a very generous addition with an RRP that nearly amounts to price of the actual box.

Created to provide essential structure for sexy, undone styles, this lightweight and creamy mousse builds volume without making hair feel unnatural or stiff. Ultra versatile, it’s ideal for providing grip for updos, blown-out volume for loose waves, and texture for straight styles.

2. Sebamed Clear Face Gel – Sampe Size 10ml

Sebamed isn’t a brand I’ve come across but they offer a niche range of products specifically for acne prone skin.

This moisturising gel targets pimples, blackheads and blemishes with a pH value of 5.5 and is oil, emulsifier, perfume and colourant free. I can’t say that I suffer from acne but I do get the occasional breakout so I’ll probably use this as an on the spot treatment.

3. Bloom & Blossom Revitalising Facial Spray – Travel Size 40ml

Bloom and Blossom is a sophisticated, natural, solution focused skincare range, suitable for pregnancy and babies which can only mean it’s going to be super kind to the skin. Their Rejuvenating Facial Spritz is a skin conditioner with collagen boosting ingredients, aloe vera and lime oil to help improve skin tone and reduce wrinkles and dark shadows.

The light weight formula really gives the skin a boost of hydration and it’s the ideal size to throw into your handbag and if your skin is feeling a little parched then a quick spritz of this will cool you right down.

4. Bloomtown Botanicals Roll-on Infused Oil  – Full Size 10ml RRP £4.80

Bloomtown Botanicals is a brand that I fell head over heels with when I was first introduced to them last month so much so that I purchased some more products to try and I wasn’t disappointed, although thanks to Dollibox I can feel another splurge happening very soon!

The Hedgerow Roll-on Infused Oil isn’t something I own so it was a pleasant surprise to see this amongst the line up and oh my it smells absolutely amazing, it’s not too sweet and has me dreaming of summer thanks to the succulent Blackberry & Honeysuckle notes! You simply apply to the pulse points for an instant pick-me-up but it also doubles up as a nourishing treatment too that’s perfect for smoothing dry patches and applying to split ends too! The roll-on also comes in a convenient, portable size and the price point is really budget friendly too.

5. HJ Manicure Nail Polish – Full Size RRP £9.50

HJ Manicure is another gem that I discovered earlier this year and their portfolio consists of luxurious and on-trend nail polish shades that are 5-free meaning they’re are free of Toluene, Formaldehyde Resin, Di-buty! Phthalate (DBP) and Camphor so their much more kinder to you and they certainly don’t compromise on the quality front. Luckily, Red Wine isn’t a shade I currently own but it’s so apt for the party season and is something I’ll definitely get lots of use out of, it’s such a stunning deep red.

6. Perfection Fashion Tape – RRP £5.00

As we soon head into party territory this embarrassment saver from Perfection in the form of their fashion tape is such an apt addition amongst the line up and ensures bra straps stay put and low necklines are securely in place!

7. Vita Coco Coconut Oil – Sample sachet.

This ancient oil has been known for its versatility for years especially in the Asian culture, I remember my grandmother smothering the stuff on my hair at least once a week!

Cold pressed from Organic coconuts, 100% raw and extra virgin, this multitasker isn’t just for cooking, it can also be used to hydrate your skin, fight frizz, make up removal – the list is endless!

 My Verdict

What a fantastic box! Aside from mousse (that’s probably not even that bad to be honest, I’m just oddly picky when it comes to hair products), I loved every single product. I don’t think I can even pick a favourite, but the biggest surprise was seeing two my favourite brands amongst the line up! All in all, I think this was a pretty solid box, full of nice discoveries from both well known brands as well as some that are lesser known too, something I really love as it always encourages me to get outside my comfort zone and try something new. While the overall value isn’t going to blow you away, the majority  is full sized and also includes some discount codes from the brands featured that you can redeem online.

If you love discovering new and well known beauty brands with generous sized products then Dollibox is definitely a box you’ll want to get to know better! shame they didn’t include many discount codes
