Anyone else expect their beauty boxes to be extra special in December? I do which is probably wishful thinking on my part as I’ve not been overly impressed this years offerings in terms of the extra treats but *Pink Parcel have definitely gone the extra mile for December to not only brighten up that time of the month and ensure you’re fully equipped but it’s also filled with festive little treats, perfect for some post-party “me time” at home as well as some skincare essentials to keep those pesky little spots at bay – I think it’s really clever what they’ve done this month in terms of the beauty line up as no one wants a humongous spot on their face over the festive season! Lastly, and something I was really surprised to see is a copy of Look Magazine!

Pink Parcel is a subscription service for your monthly cycle who send you what you need, right when you need it as well as some lovely treats to brighten up those days of the month. With three dispatch dates to choose from, Pink Parcel literally take care of everything and will ship your box before your period is due. If you’re worried about flows and absorbencies, they have that covered too as you can choose your preferred brand as well as the type of sanitary items to suit your flow making it completely bespoke to your needs.

1. Period Essentials

No matter what your cycle length is the amount of sanitary items and liners included within the box is impressive. You can also choose between receiving pads or tampons from a good selection of brands.

I was particularly happy to see popular brands on board such as Tampax, Always and Body Form. If you’re anything like me then this really helps avoid last-minute runs to the supermarket! There’s also a useful drawstring pouch filled with pads and liners that you can pop into your handbag straightaway.

2. Beauty Treats – 6 Items

As mentioned above, this month’s beauty line up has been curated to perfection and features a trio of skincare essentials to ensure those pesky spots are kept at bay! I’m so prone to them when I’m due on so I’m hoping this fighting trio keeps my skin looking picture perfect!

Up first inside my box is a new discovery for me from Amie Skincare in the form of their New Leaf Deep Pore Exfoliator (Sample Size 25ml). This deep cleansing treatment containing natural rice granules that work deep-down into pores to lift away dirt, oil and impurities, revealing clearer, smoother skin and the mango and orange blossom extracts help tone and refresh oily and combination skin.

There’s nothing more pampering than applying a mask on a Sunday evening and although I’ve already received a sample of Mudmasky Detox Purifying Recovery Mask (Sample Size 20ml) via a previous box I somehow forgot all about it, I can’t even tell you where it is – oops! Described as a natural way to detoxify & renew your skin within a few minutes, the mask promises to refines pores and brighten, while keeping your skin hydrated and smooth. It also helps to balance your skin’s pH for a perfect complexion.

When it comes to spots and as gross as it sounds I’m a popper, I just can’t help myself so the The Vintage Company Rose Gold Blemish Wand (RRP £7.50) not only is much more of a hygienic method but it prevents any scarring or marking too! It promises to unblock pores by safely extracting blemishes and features a small loop that can be used for whiteheads and a flat side that can be used to gently draw out blackheads. Made from high quality stainless steel it will last for years to come!

On the lifestyle front Pink Parcel have collaborated with BRYT Clothing to bring us a such a pretty and good quality pair of cosy socks (Size 4-7 RRP £9.99) that also match their branding and colour scheme. A part of me is happy they’re are not Christmas themed so I can get away with these up until Spring! Thank you Pink Parcel for keeping my feet warm and snug – who doesn’t love to lounge around in socks!

Up next and sticking to the bow theme is the Sterling Silver Bow Earrings from Jewellery Box (RRP £4.05 – subscribers will receive rose gold or silver). The earrings are so dainty looking and are a great choice for every day wear – such a lovely addition inside this month’s box.

Last but not least and something that made my box smell incredibly christmassy is the Simple Candle Co Cinnamon Sticks Melt (RRP £2.00), it really does capture the scent of Christmas and is something that I’ll definitely be saving for Sunday!

3. Tea and Sweet Treats – 2 items

As well as the beauty and lifestyle line up you can also expect to see a sample of tea and chocolate, the perfect mix to satisfy those cravings and as always they sure do hit the spot but always disappear so quickly!

Inside this month’s curation you’ll find a Fudge Kitchen Gingerbread Dipper, Squirrel sisters Cacao Orange Bar and Lola’s Apothecary Clementine Calamity Tea.

My Verdict

Wow what a true treat this month’s Pink Parcel is! I’m not going to lie but I don’t think a lot of companies have really made that extra effort this month considering it’s December but Pink Parcel definitely didn’t disappoint and went all out for their last ever edition of the year, it’s going to be a tough one to beat! Featuring a trio of spot busters on the beauty front balanced out by all the lifestyle items, this month’s edition certainly ranks high on my list and the unexpected copy of Look Magazine was such a lovely surprise too! All in all I’d say that this was a pretty solid box and as always it’s incredible value and the perfect way to try a range of beauty and lifestyle products without totally breaking the bank as well as being such a fantastic resource to ensure you’re fully stocked from the first day to the very last.

If you haven’t got on the Pink Parcel train yet then it’s definitely a subscription I highly recommend and the thrill of the surprise will not fail to make you look forward to that time of the month!
