While this month’s You Beauty Box collaboration with Feel Unique featured a jam packed menu for their Party Prep Edit, my box was a sorry sight in terms of amount of extras this month or lack of should I say!  – where’s the obligatory chocolate that we receive each year!  Anyway, moving on it wasn’t all bad as I opted for two of the Nails Inc polishes this month which was probably really predictable on my part considering I’m a self-confessed nail varnish obsessive but it was too much of a bargain to miss out on especially when they both retail for £14.00 each! With three different membership options now in force you can add up to 4 beauty treats from the shortlist each month with subscriptions starting from only £6.95.

1. Nails Inc NailKale in Holland Walk and Elizabeth Bridge  – Full Size RRP £14.00 each

I’ve not tried anything from the Nails Inc Nailkale collection so this month’s shortlist was the perfect opportunity to finally give it a go at a fraction of the price. With vitamin-rich kale extract to keep nails strong, healthy and nourished I opted for Holland Walk, a beautiful deep plum and Elizabeth Bridge, a water melon pink that I’ll be saving for the summer.

2. Extra samples inside the box:

Unlike previous editions this month’s extras were really lacking especially for us bronze subscribers and included a Feelunique 15% OFF Voucher & a sample of Narciso Rodriguez NARCISO 1ml

My Verdict

While the beauty box subscription market is growing on a daily basis, You Beauty Box still comes out on top and is such a fantastic budget friendly option that caters for every beauty fan. Although the extras for the bronze subscription was somewhat lacking this month, I’m really chuffed with my two Nails Inc polishes which totalled up to generous £28.00 – not a bad haul for only £6.95! Overall I think 2016 has definitely been an interesting year for You Beauty Box especially with their new subscription packages however I can’t help but feel the shortlists have been have been a little underwhelming at times plus the full size products and the extras are starting to become non-existent in comparison to 2014 and 2015, I’ve certainly paused my subscription a lot more times this year (maybe I’m just being a little too picky)!

Coming in at only £6.95, not only is it affordable but it also gives subscribers a great opportunity to sample products from well-known, loved and emerging beauty brands. One of the aspects I love about this box is that I have full control of what’s inside as well as receiving some additional bonus samples too. If you’re new to the beauty box concept then this is definitely a great purse friendly box to start off with and If you do happen to fall in love with something there’s a few discount codes from the brands featured this month too.
