A new year means a brand new chance for Look Incredible to wow us again with their curations and I’m pleased to report that the *January edition does not disappoint and contains quite a few new finds that have piqued my interest and excitedly the majority is things I’ve not had the opportunity to try before so that’s a bonus. Covering a good ground on the make up and skin care front, this month’s box showcases 5 full sized products so it’s another value for money edition which totals up to an incredible £91.99.

The first item from this month’s line up is the Too Faced Too Faced Soul Mates Blush Bronzer (RRP £28.00) and is something I received previously via another box so I wasn’t excited to see it again but it is undoubtedly a gorgeous addition for those who don’t own it. This bronzer and blush duo has been been cleverly named after Carrie & Biggs from Sex and the City and the outer packaging is really pretty and reminds me of a Polly Pocket ! Giving a beautiful sheen, tons of pigment with a buttery and luxurious formula, the bronzer is great for contouring, and the blush adds an instant glow to the cheeks.  Mixing both of the colours together really warms up the complexion so it’s ideal choice for this time of the year to perk up dull skin.

When it comes to make up products I use on a daily basis, mascara is always at the top of the list so I was delighted to be introduced to the Clinique Lash Power Feathering Mascara (Full size RRP £18.99) as I’ve not tried much from their make up line apart from their popular chubby sticks which are so AH-mazing! According to Clinique, this provides full, fluttery lashes that’s easy to remove with warm water and it’s safe to say that this mascara does deliver on all its claims! Okay, so this doesn’t give any lash drama as such but I did see a very noticeable difference in terms of the length and I love how it made my lashes feel weightless even with three coats! The brush is loaded with bristles and manages to pick up a good amount of formula and adheres to the lashes really well. The one aspect that did stand out was that I was able to layer on three coats without a clump in sight which is actually quite impressive! I really wasn’t expecting to love this as much I do but if you’re looking for a subtle finish that lengthens your lashes and a hassle-free removal process then this is such a great performer.

Lastly on the make up front is the Lorac Pro Powder Cheek Stain (Full size RRP £21.00), a long-wearing, paraben & fragrance-free blush that’s infused with skin-loving ingredients and promises to impart a beautiful glow to the skin. The shade in Coral Crush isn’t something I would have picked out myself but strangely enough it’s actually really pretty providing you’re not too heavy handed with the application as it packs a punch! On first glance it didn’t appear to have too much shimmer but there is a hint which is noticeable when applied it so I’d probably use this for an evening look as opposed to the day!

If you’re a regular reader, you’ll know that I’m extremely picky when it comes to skin care not to mention the fact that I’m drowning in samples at the moment so for those reasons alone I don’t usually get excited when they pop up inside my boxes even more so in winter months as the majority seems to be targeted for dry skin! Having said though I love the addition of the Bee Good 3in1 Cleansing Water as it’s such a useful everyday staple that not only boasts multiple benefits but it’s suitable for all skin types too (yay!) plus it removed all my make up that I had been trailing above effortlessly! Promising to removes grime, hydrate & brighten without the need to rinse this micellar water is made with super moisturising British wildflower honey, brightening red algae and refreshing wild water mint and is gentle to use on the delicate eye area too.

Last but not least is the Eucerin Even Brighter Pigment Reducing Spot Correct (Full size 5ml £14.00), a pigment reducing spot corrector helps tackle age spots and freckles for a more even complexion. I’m not sure this really sits inside a deluxe beauty box but this teeny full size product retails for £14.00!

My Verdict

In terms of my likes and all the new discoveries on board with the exception to the Too Faced Bronzer, Look Incredible definitely raised the bar high for their January edition and have come up with such a lovely line up which in turn definitely made the unboxing that more exciting something that’s been somewhat lacking as of late so I hope we see more editions like this. Covering mainly make up in addition to a couple of skincare products, there’s quite a few highlights this month such as the blusher and the the cleansing water but the product that exceeded my expectations was the Clinique mascara, I really didn’t expect to like this as much as I do (isn’t it great when that happens!). The Eucerin was an odd addition and in my opinion doesn’t really sit inside a deluxe beauty box but other than that I’m pretty happy with what I received and once again it’s another good value for money edition that totals up to £91.99.
