With the first signs of spring in sight (finally!), this month’s *Glossybox features an edit of hero products to refresh our beauty regimes with a selection of products for the face, eyes and hair to ensure you’re prepped to perfect. After last month’s amazing edit which was going to be a tough one to beat I just wasn’t as excited about their March edition but nonetheless it does cover a good area of beauty with a generous mix of full size products and samples plus did I mention the Sleek Palette is absolutely gorgeous!

If you’re new to Glossybox, it’s a monthly subscription box that comes packed with both deluxe-sized and full-size products and covers all areas of beauty from skin care, hair, nails, make-up and everything else in between from brands we all love and know as well as those hidden gems too! The box costs £13.25 per month and contains contents which always exceeds the overall subscription price.

1. This Works in transit camera close-up primer – Travel Size 20ml

I’ve previously sampled this via another box so I’m a little sad to see it again but luckily I did enjoy using this so it’s not total waste! This moisturiser, mask and primer all in one formula promises to even, plump and brighten your skin with a powerful blend of repairing plant oils as well as a boost of caffeine to erase signs of fatigue and makes your skin look radiant.

The translucent white balmy-cream goes on transparent on the skin, leaves absolutely no residue behind and makes skin feels super smooth and ready for foundation. It has a soft-matte finish, which is perfect for those with slightly oily skin and it’s a great quick pick-me-up that not only leaves the skin feeling really fresh but hydrated too.  You can also use this as a thick mask, while you are flying to lock in moisture.

2. Sleek Eye & Cheek Palette – RRP £10.00

This month all subscribers had the opportunity to pick a Sleek Palette from four variations. Unfortunately I wasn’t given that option and I’m not going to lie but See you at Midnight is most definitely on the complete opposite end of the spectrum for me as I’m more of a neutral kind of girl but oh my this contains such a mesmerising mix of shades to create a multiple array of smokey eye looks. See You at Midnight combines deep blue and pearlescent purple eyeshadows from Sleek’s Romance i-Divine Palette along with with two Blushers in Pomegranate, a golden berry hue and Antique a shimmery dusky rose.

As you can see the colours are amazing and surprisingly the pigmentation isn’t bad either. Both the eye shadows as well as the blushers apply easily and the best thing is the colours can be applied very lightly for a more natural look or built up for a more dramatic look. I did notice some fading after a few hours when I applied a couple of the shades over the weekend but apart from that I really can’t fault this palette and it’s so affordable too.

3. Schwarzkopf Professional Miracle Brazilnut Oil Pulp Treatment Oil – Travel Size 30ml RRP £3.95

Promising to remove impurities from your locks while detangling and improving manageability, the Schwarzkopf BC Bonacure Oil Miracle Brazil Nut Oil Pulp Treatment is designed to protect hair against harmful UV rays, nourishing each strand to help promote a beautiful, shiny finish.

4. oOlution Eye love – Travel Size 15ml. Full size 30ml RRP £30.00

This multi-tasking eye cream works to lessen dark circles and bags, stimulate collagen synthesis, and moisturise the eye area.  It contains 65 active ingredients that are 100% naturally derived, plus it’s cruelty-free and vegan!  I love the formula, it’s super lightweight, fast absorbing and visibly smooths and softens my skin. This also makes a great pre-makeup step in the mornings under concealer and even eye makeup.

5. Crabtree & Evelyn Somerset Meadow Hand Therapy – Full size 25g RRP £6.00

Ah, I love a hand cream and while I have so many I do love the ones by Crabtree & Evelyn so I’m happy to welcome this to the stash. As with all their hand creams, the formula is thick, doesn’t leave a greasy film behind and leaves your hands feeling soft and smelling lovely. Somerset Meadow is very floral but in a natural kind of way and is so fitting for spring!

My Verdict

Okay, so you’ve probably gathered I wasn’t that excited about this month Glossybox but I’m going to let that slide as last month’s box was a pretty great one for me! On a positive note they have featured a well-rounded selection and there’s a few highlights amongst the line up that tick the boxes in terms of my personal likes so by no means is it a bad curation, I guess I just wasn’t that wowed by it. In terms of favourites, so far I’m fan of the eye cream and the hand cream will almost certainly get used but the one item I expected to like the least (the Sleek Palette) surprisingly turned out to be the main stand-out for me so I can’t wait to create some gorgeous smokey eye looks. Value-wise you can expect to see both full sized products as well as generous sized samples with an overall value of around £34.95.
