You Beauty Box Review – March 2017

Price of the Box: from £6.95 including P&P
No of items in the box – 4 items

Its been a while since I last featured a You Beauty Box review, I think December was the last time it featured on the blog but in all honesty I’ve just not been that into their shortlist picks the last couple of months – well that was until they unveiled their March Best of British picks! Covering a good area of beauty from well-known brands as well as those that are a little niche, I opted for a pampering bath treat from Maddi Alexander and a lip crayon from Bagsy, a brand that’s completely new on my radar. If you’re new to You Beauty Box they offer three different membership options starting from £6.95 which allow you to pick up to 4 beauty treats from a shortlist menu each month so if you’re not a fan of surprises this box is the perfect and affordable option to discover a host of beauty products each month.

1. Maddi Alexander Serene Body WashTravel Size 100ml

Described as a feminine, foxy and flowery blend of geranium and lavender, this beautiful shower gel will make sure you are left feeling tranquil and relaxed. Renowned for its de-stressing properties this floral fragrance promises to help encourage relaxation and sweet dreams. I’m delighted I got my hands of this as not only is it a brand new launch but it’s the perfect antidote after a long day at work and smells so dreamy.

 2. Bagsy Wow Lips – Full Size RRP £12.00

Bagsy Beauty is a completely new discovery for me and on first impressions and having had a good browse on their website it’s one of those brands you just can’t help but fall in love with especially if you’re a sucker for pretty packaging and cute handbag sized products! After years of working for global beauty brands, British born bagsy are finally doing it for themselves. The result is a small, perfectly designed collection of easy-to-choose, easy-to-use everyday beauty essentials that are designed to fit inside your handbag.

This chubby lip pencil in the shade ‘Ready to Wear’ is exactly that and is a great choice for everyday wear and comes equipped with moisturising properties to keep your lips nourished and a creamy texture that’s super easy to apply. Plus the innovative nylon and spherical powder formula means it hugs and moves with lips for serious comfort-factor. I’ve currently got my eye on their dry shampoo so I’ll definitely be redeeming the 35% off gift card which is one of the extra’s inside this month’s box.

3. Extras – x2

If you opted for the bronze membership you can expect to see just the one sample this month in the form of Skinade™ Collagen Drink Travel Sachet 15ml & a Bagsy 35% off gift card.

My Verdict

After having a little break from You Beauty Box, my March box turned out to be a pretty great one and I’m so pleased with what I picked. The shower gel fragrance evokes the feeling of relaxation which is great after a long day at work and the lip crayon feels so comfy on the lips plus the shade is very wearable too which is a bonus as I can be extremely picky! While not every month has been a winner for me I really can’t knock You Beauty Box as it’s such an incredible budget friendly option when it comes to subscription boxes.

Coming in at only £6.95, not only is it affordable but it also gives subscribers a great opportunity to sample products from well-known, loved and emerging beauty brands. One of the aspects I love about this box is that I have full control of what’s inside as well as receiving some additional bonus samples too. If you’re new to the beauty box concept then this is definitely a great purse friendly box to start off with and If you do happen to fall in love with something there’s a few discount codes from the brands featured this month too.
