Spring is definitely on the horizon and a change of season is the perfect excuse to give things a bit of shake up in the beauty department from swapping out those heavy moisturisers to lighter alternatives and updating those dark lip shades for fresh and bright hues to complement our spring wardrobe and this month’s ‘Get the Glowdown edit’ from Love Me Beauty does exactly that! Featuring a host of make-up, skin care and suncare solutions you can expect to see the likes of Ellis Fais, Caudalie, Ultrasun and Perricone MD it’s really refreshing to see some newbies on board for this month’s edit plus how gorgeous is the make-up bag!

1. Ellis Faas Lips x4 sample tubes – 10 credits
On the make up front we have 4 cute lip tubes from the Ellis Faas collection, a brand that incase their lip products in most stunning bullet-inspired packaging with a sponge tip application and a twist-clicker system. Unfortunately it would have been ridiculously expensive for Love Me Beauty to source the full sizes however these tubes are generously filled to give you an exact idea of the formula and the shades. Inside the sampler pack are the shades: Creamy Lips (L101), Milky Lips (L207), Hot Lips (L403) and Glazed Lips (L304). That’s a deep red, an orangey-red, a hot pink and a nude – a shade for every occasion!
2. Perricone MD Blue Plasma Cleansing Treatment 59ml – 25 credits
There’s micellar water and then there’s the innovative Blue Plasma Cleansing Treatment by Perricone MD, a magnet for make-up and grime which also doubles up as an exfoliant too and comes in a very generous size that’s worth £18.00! This exfoliating, cleansing and toning miracle product is a non-rinse formula that boosts radiance, smooths, and traps and removes pollutants and impurities.
3. Caudalie Vine[activ] Energizing and Smoothing Eye Cream 5ml and Vine[activ] 3-in-1 Moisturiser 15ml – 20 Credits each
I love Caudalie and already use a couple of their products so it was nice to see something from their new Vine Activ collection which has been especially created for those busy ladies/gents who are juggling a work-life balance, fitting in a career, social life, staying fit and constantly living a city life in fast-forward. Their Vine Activ 3-in-1 moisturiser is a light yet hydrating formula and is described as the essential daily ally for urban skin. It has been formulated to limit the quantity of pollutant particles deposited on the skin, visibly smooths wrinkles and restores its natural healthy glow with a velvety texture that’s light and suitable for all skin types.
Up next from the same line is the Energizing and Smoothing Eye cream, a gentle, soothing cream that visibly alleviates dark circles and smoothes the eye and lip contours, for a refreshed, energised look.
4. Ultrasun Glimmer SPF20 25ml – 15 Credits
Sun tan lotions are boring at the best of times but this one from Ultrasun is much more glamourous as it contains a beautiful shimmery pigment to make the skin glow and look radiant while you’re basking in the sun! Not only does this gel tackle harmful UVA and UVB rays, it offers Infrared protection too, powerful antioxidants and is even suitable for the most sensitive skin.
5. Omorovicza Moor Cream Cleanser 30ml – 20 credits
Omorovicza is a luxurious high-end skincare brand that hails all the way from Budapest, Hungary and the magic is all in the key ingredient in the form of Hungarian Moor Mud. I’ve really enjoyed what I’ve tried so far from their range and the Moor Cream Cleanser isn’t something I’ve come across before so it’s a very welcome addition.
This gentle yet detoxifying formula works to eliminate impurities without over-drying or uncomfortable tightness and harnesses the purifying powers of mineral-rich Hungarian Moor Mud (derived from the largest thermal lake in Europe, Lake Hévíz) and delivers a deep pore cleansing action; effectively dissolving dirt and make-up to reveal a smoother, more refined appearance. My Verdict
Quite possibly one of my favourite edits, Love Me Beauty have featured another solid line up this month especially when you take into the account the big name brands they partnered up but most of all it was really refreshing to see some newbies on board such as Ellie Faas, Ultrasun, Korebeauty and Perricone MD, it certainly makes the discovery experience that little more exciting. Line up wise this month’s edit was perfectly curated to prepare me for the change in season and featured a well balanced selection from skin care, make up and even some sun protection and although there’s no full sized products the samples are generous in size to judge whether you like them or not. If you’re a regular reader you’ll know that I’m not a fan of too much skin care within one edit but I’m going to let that slide as there’s quite a few products that have sparked my interest inparticular the cleansing treatment from Perricone MD and the Moor Cream Cleanser from Omorovicza.
