After last month’s successful curation, I had high expectations for this month’s Look Incredible box and it’s safe to say they have knocked it out of the park for their March edition however I am a little bored of seeing these Cargo palettes as they’ve been featured inside another beauty box so many times which of course isn’t Look Incredible’s fault but that excitement has certainly come and gone for me! Covering make-up as well as a nail varnish I was particularly excited by this line up as it included some of my favourite brands and brands I’ve wanted to try more from so it’s definitely a winner and I’d imagine most subscribers would have been quite happy with what they got plus the shades are so spot on for spring.

If you’re new to Look Incredible they offer a standard and deluxe monthly subscription box, both of which contain only full-sized products and you can expect to see high end beauty ranging from make-up to skin care from loved classics and new launches. Subscriptions start from £18.00 – £35.00 per month depending on the type of box you go for.

The item I was least excited to see was the Cargo Around the World Eye Shadow (RRP £35.00) reasons being I already own this palette from another beauty box! Inside you can expect to see 12 shades that are mainly cool toned and also it also includes a dual-ended eye shadow brush as well as a handy mirror inside. If you’re looking for a neutral palette with a variety of finishes this is a good choice for every day wear.

When it comes to my everyday makeup routine I’m all about the eyes so I was delighted to see the Urban Decay Ink for Eyes Waterproof Precision Eye Pen (RRP £15.50) which enables you to draw intense, shiny, blacker-than-black lines with absolute precision with its ultra fine tip and a long-wearing formula. Packaged within a weightless pen, the pigmentation is just as I had hoped, dark with a little shine and in terms of application this really helps you to achieve those super sleek lines with very minimal effort but if you want to create a thicker line this isn’t for that! For me personally this worked better tight lining under the eyes and and for those flicks at the corner of the eye.

Another favourite amongst the line up is the Laura Geller Split Highlight Duo (RRP £25.00), a beautiful, subtle highlighter that features an almost matte hue while the right side has a slight shimmer and is a bit more noticeable on the skin.  Both shades are pretty natural making it perfect for everyday and for those of you who don’t want that overly shimmery look.

While I own a a couple of Marc Jacobs perfumes I’ve not tried much from their make-up line so it was such a nice surprise to see the Enamored Lip Lacquer (RRP £22.00) in the shade Sugar Sugar, a beautiful pinky nude that can be worn on it’s own or as a lipstick topper to add ultimate shine! This cushiony, luxurious gloss treats lips to the ultimate in colour and brilliance with its unique Triple Shine Complex, a new combination of high-performance ingredients that delivers supernatural shine and unstoppable wear. I’m not the biggest fan of lip gloss but this is such an easy-wearing gloss that’s super shiny,non-sticky, hydrating and feels ever so good on the lips.

Last but not least is the Nails Inc Nail Polish (RRP £15.00) in the shade South Molton Street, a natural nude pink shade that’s perfect for the months of spring.

My Verdict

Look Incredible have certainly raised the bar high as of late and this month’s edition is no exception. Their March box contained a pretty awesome selection to satisfy the cravings of those who particularly love make-up and apart from the Cargo Palette I was pretty chuffed with what I received even more so as it contained products from brands I’ve been wanting to try more from and I felt like all of the products were things I would actually use. The Look Incredible boxes are not centred around a theme and I don’t know if it was intentional or just coincidental but I love that they steered away from dark hues and opted for lighter alternatives instead as everything just seemed more seasonally appropriate this month. A couple of brands such as Laura Geller and Nails Inc were actually featured last month so I hope they don’t become regulars but other than that they pretty much nailed it with the products they featured plus with every single item being full sized it’s another value for money haul and such a guilt-free way to try high end and popular brands.
