Since So Susan unveiled their spoiler for their March Lip Love Bag I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it and it’s finally arrived and it’s even better than I imagined – just look at that all those pops of colour and that beautiful highlighter palette! If you’re looking for a cruelty-free subscription that’s make-up centric then this monthly subscription is the perfect destination which not only allows you to experiment with a host of products and shades in the comfort of your home it excitingly also includes new launches from brands such as So Susan, Jelly Pong Pong and Trifle Cosmetics. This month’s edition features a good selection of make-up focusing on the face, eyes and lips and as always you can expect to see your goodies inside a limited edition make up bag to match the theme.
The So Susan collection ranges from make-up to nail varnish combining their lovely portfolio of colours with science. Their philosophy is to create colours which last, are cruelty free and also much kinder to your skin. As well as the philosophy behind the brand, I love the feminine and pretty designed packaging which always stands out for me. I’ve tried quite a few products from their collection and already have quite a few firm favourites.
1. So Susan Skinsider – Full Size RRP £33.68
The main showstopper inside this month’s bag and something that’s very quickly become a firm favourite is this versatile yet compact highlighting palette that contains a multitude of shades to suit all skin tones and occasions. Enriched with multi-toned pigment pearls that adjust to your skin’s natural undertones to give you a refined, luminescent finish the shades can be used as eye shadow or as highlighters. It’s also formulated with Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 that helps in reducing skin fatigue and facial lines.
2. So Susan LipPout in Social Butterfly – Full Size RRP £15.20
As much as I absolutely adore these paper cased lipsticks I’ve not had much luck in the shade department but it’s safe to say that Social Butterfly is definitely my kind of shade, it’s a cool red toned hue and looks flattering even against my pale skin! Described as a lipstick and a gloss hybrid this boasts from being vegan and doesn’t contain any parabens, phthalates or mineral oil.
3. Jelly Pong Pong Liptensity in ‘Curiosity’ – Full Size RRP £16.00
This pretty pink highly hydrating gloss boasts a thick formula to enable you to have an intense colour that shines and lasts at the same time. It’s also infused with Sweet Almond Oil to help reduce chapped skin and promises to keep the lips succulently soft.
4. Trifle Cosmetics Cheek Parfait in ‘Marmalade’ – Full Size RRP £18.24
Last but not least is the Cheek Parfait in the shade Marmalade. As with all cream blushers a little goes a very long way and whilst I much prefer powder formulas this one does blend really well and leaves behind a rosy flush of colour.
My Verdict
With spring now in full bloom the March Lip Love Bag embraces the season with a beautiful line up of make up treats to brighten up post winter complexions. I love what they’ve picked out this month and in terms of the shades everything is geared towards the sunny days ahead of us so it’s the perfect excuse for swapping out those dark hues! So far my favourites are the LipoPout Lipstick which seems to be a good match for my pale skin and the highlighting palette is just so versatile and is a great choice for those who prefer more of a natural/neutral look .
