With Love Box Review – May 2017

With Love Box – May 2017
Monthly Subscription – £25.00 per month

Centred around the theme Summer Glow, the May With Love Box certainly had a tough job to do after last month’s disappointing line-up but with two notebooks on board and not one but three packs of coffee scrubs I decided it was time to pull the plug, it’s not a bad curation by no means and I’ll definitely be able to make use out of some the contents but in my opinion it lacks on the variety front in terms of the brands and some of the products they’ve featured. If you’re new to the With Love Box, it’s a monthly subscription box packed with beauty products, edible treats, stationary, homeware and everything in between and they ship their boxes at the beginning of the month.

Without further ado, let’s take a quick look at what I received inside my May box:

Up first we have three different Coffee Scrubs (Full size 200g RRP £13.00 each) from Miss Patisserie, a brand I’m already familiar with and I have really enjoyed trying out their products in the past. There’s no arguing that With Love have been generous here but instead of featuring three very similar scrubs I would have much preferred a mixture of different products from Miss Patisserie’s collection or perhaps something from another beauty brand but nonetheless these do fit in very nicely with their summer glow theme. The box includes the Sweet Orange Coffee Scrub, Tiare Coffee Scrub and the Coconut Coffee scrub, all which contain fine Arabica coffee and is gentle enough to use on the face as well as the body and is excellent at reducing cellulite in addition to hydrating coconut oil and sweet almond oil to moisturise and repair the skin leaving it soft and supple.

Covering inner beauty too, you can also expect to see the We Are Tea Glow Tea Bags (Pack of 12 RRP £3.49) accompanied their very own branded canvas bag. Designed to promote skin health and vitality, this fruity and herbal blend is described as deliciously nourishing cup packed with antioxidants.

On the stationary front we have two handmade A5 pineapple design notebooks by Dessi Design (x2 RRP £6.00) who by the way has some amazing items in her etsy store – I’m rather tempted by the macbook cases!

Each month With Love feature a new photographer and include 3 prints of the their work however I have no idea who these are by! I think these prints are my favourite since subscribing as they just scream summer and I think they’ll be great for blog photo’s too!

My Verdict

You may be aware from April’s post that this month was going to be the ultimate decider as to whether I continue with my With Love subscription and unfortunately this will be my last box which makes me sad. Centred around the theme Summer Glow, they stuck to theme throughout, it boasts good value and I love the summery feel but I just didn’t need more notebooks or three coffee scrubs which is such a shame as this box really does have the potential to be great one if they mixed it up a little and featured more variety when it comes to the brands and the products they pick.  I am very mindful that they are still fairly new and still learning but for me personally the last two edits just wasn’t on par in comparison to when I first subscribed. On a positive note, they have included an information card this month which is promising as I’ve been moaning about it for the last three months plus I’ll definitely be able to make use out of the majority of the products so it’s not all bad – one thing for sure is my bathroom’s going to smell like Starbucks as I have at least a years worth of coffee scrub to get through! It will be interesting to see how With Love evolve over the next few months, I’ll certainly be following their journey and hopefully I’ll revisit their subscription again in the near future. By the way, we already have a little spoiler for June – the box will be themed around plants!
