When it comes to pretty box designs, *Look Fantastic never fail to pull out all the stops and their June Wanderlust edition is no exception with it’s oh so dreamy exterior, it’s got me yearning for some summer sun abroad! Line-up wise you can expect to see a collective of apt travel-friendly essentials to make sure that you arrive at your destination looking gorgeous – some people manage to look absolutely effortless after a flight and I’m convinced there’s some magic potion involved in this! Once again this month’s box touches on a good area of beauty and showcases well-known brands but unfortunately there’s a few products I’ve already sampled before so I wasn’t overly excited to see them on board but nonetheless it is balanced out by some new discoveries.

The Look Fantastic box offers a selection of handpicked, must have beauty fixes wrapped in a beautifully presented box and delivered straight to your door. The beauty box will always include a minimum of six products and offers a selection of skin care, hair care, cosmetics and body products, catering for every beauty lover.

This month’s box is filled with a generous mix of both full size and generous sized samples and showcases products from Kerastase, First Aid Beauty, Balance Me, ModelCo, Bellapierre and Monu.

1. Kerastase Shampoo – Travel Size 80ml

To breathe new life into our hair routine and something that can be easily transported is the Kérastase Resistance Bain Force Architecte Shampoo (type may vary) that’s targeted for brittle, damaged hair with split ends – yep that’s me! This contains Complexe Ciment-Cylane, which is a combination of intra-Cylane, Ceramide R and Pro-Keratin to condition and strengthen your hair. This use to be my go-to years ago so it’s nice to be reacquainted again.

2. First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads – Travel Size RRP £12.00

Lazy day skincare is the best especially when it claims to do multiple things in one single application and these Facial Radiance Pads by First Aid Beauty do exactly that by brightening, toning and exfoliating the skin. They also come in a compact tub so will hardly take up any room and definitely do not count as a liquid!

The First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads contain just the right amount of lactic and glycolic acids to make them safe and effective for daily use and all skin types. Cucumber and Indian gooseberry tone the skin, while lemon peel and licorice root leave the skin bright and glowing. First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads are free of parabens, harsh chemicals and colourants. Some of the benefits include: improving skin clarity, reducing visible pores and diminishing the appearance of fine lines.

3. Balance Me Balancing Face Moisturiser – Travel Size 20ml

Balance Me products pop up quite frequently inside beauty boxes and thankfully their Balancing Face Moisturiser is completely new find for me and being prone to breakouts I’m really chuffed to see this amongst the line-up.

This light textured anti-blemish moisturiser is expertly blended with neroli and soothing spruce knot with Roman chamomile to prevent blocked pores whilst working to soothe irritation. Skin is instantly calmed and deeply nourished with this light, easily absorbed moisturiser. Boasting a potent formula that prevents spots, it eliminates shine and battles blemishes to leave your skin looking radiant.

4. Hailey Baldwin for ModelCo Super Lips Lipgloss – Travel Size 3ml

I’ve got to admit I hardly wear glosses anymore as I’m more of matte kind of girl these days!

ModelCo have teamed up with Hailey Baldwin to develop this collection of glosses which boast a vinyl-like shine of a gloss with extended wear and pigmentation of a lipstick that offer intense colour payoff and long-wear. I received Biz, a nude hue however shades may vary.

5. Bellapierre Shimmer Highlighter – Full Size £12.99

Using 100% pure Mica powder, this beautiful shimmer powder in the shade Excite provides long lasting and vibrant colour. I do love the shimmer powders from Bellepierre, they have wonderful pigmentation, blend really easily and are an ultimate all-in-one mineral make up product that you can mix with lip balm, clear nail polish, and with a drop of water it even becomes an eyeshadow and an eyeliner. The only downside is it comes in a loose powder form, something I’m not a fan of when it comes to make-up products.

6. Monu Rosewood Reviving Mist – Travel Size 40ml

The Monu Reviving Mist contains Lemon, Rosewood, Sandalwood, Petitgrain, Geranium, Clove and Clary Sage. The combination provides a light fragrance that refreshes, tones and sets makeup.

This can be used for both the face and body but I’ve found this to be pretty good as a makeup setting spray, it gives a lovely dewy finish and helps to keep your skin hydrated and refreshed.

My Verdict

With all things travel in mind, the June Look Fantastic Wanderlust edition does exactly what it intends to and is dressed in such dreamy packaging but prettiness aside they did also feature a good selection of products that are the perfect size to accompany you whether you’re jetting off to sunnier climes, going to any of the multitude of festivals coming up or simply out for a long day in the sun. Admittedly, there’s a couple of products that didn’t excite me as much due to having received them previously (the downside of receiving so many beauty boxes!) but I’m delighted with the remainder and I’m particularly looking forward to trying out the skin care from First Aid Beauty and Balance Me. Overall, I think this month’s box was another successful edit and not only included generous sized products but there’s also quite a few smart beauty essentials on board that I’d happily pack for a short break.

The Look Fantastic Beauty Box is the perfect destination to try a range of beauty brands without the hefty price tag and for with subscriptions starting from £13.00 it’s such a guilt-free option to trial beauty products from brands we all love and know alongside some new discoveries too.
