Today I have an unboxing and review of the July Glossybox and since it’s officially summer (well kind of), they’ve curated a box with a focus on glowing skin, effortless makeup looks and of course a couple of seasonal must-haves, all of which are inside a beautiful coral box embossed with Hello Summer in gold – it’s a true beauty inside and out! I have to say, this is by far one of my favourite editions from Glossybox this year and excitingly it also features a fan brush from Spectrum Collections which just fuels my love for this month’s box even more! Containing some great bite sized beauty in the form of full sizes and a deluxe sample from Monu, it’s the perfect guilt-free treat and also features some newbies on board too!

If you’re new to Glossybox, it’s a monthly subscription box that comes packed with both deluxe-sized and full-size products and covers all areas of beauty from skin care, hair, nails, make-up and everything else in between from brands we all love and know as well as those hidden gems too! The box costs £13.25 per month and contains contents which always exceed the overall subscription price.

Without further ado here’s what I received inside my July Glossybox:

Up first and a true summer must-have is the MONUspa Soothing After Sun Lotion (Deluxe Travel Size 100ml) and you could easily mistake this for the full sized version as it’s just 80ml short so it’s a very generous sample! Containing both soothing and calming properties for the skin after sun exposure, the formula contains  active ingredients of Aloe Vera to reduces redness and restores hydration whilst Vitamin E helps to protect from environmental aggressors. Suitable for the face and body.  I don’t think you can go wrong with this addition as it’s always useful to have a soothing after-sun lotion on hand in the summer months.

Another essential for those hot sunny days is the Papanga Spiral Hair Bands (RRP £4.99) which are described as the highest quality products of their kind on the market with a particularly hard-wearing material. I can never have enough hair ties, they always end up disappearing, or getting stretched out and grubby looking over time so trying out new one’s are always welcomed plus these are much more robust than Invisibobbles. I wasn’t too keen on the colours I received but they’ll definitely get used!

God only knows that I do not need any more tinted balms but the Cutebalms Macaroon Tint Balm in Crushed Berry (RRP £5.99) is utterly adorable and also doubles up as a cheek tint. As a lip tint it gives a lovely hint of colour but on the cheeks it was way too bright for my pale complexion plus I lean more towards powders when it comes to blushers as it gives me more control! Nonetheless, this is definitely one of the cutest tinted balm’s within my collection!

On the make up front we have the Bellapierre Cosmetics Banana Setting Powder (Full size RRP £25.00) which was such a lovely surprise inside this month’s box as I’ve never tried these types of powders before so I can’t wait to give this a go and see whether it’s worth all the hype! This colour-correcting setting powder which is suitable for all skin types has a yellow hue to counteract any redness or discoloration and is ideal for setting under eye makeup, hiding dark circles, spot correcting and you can even use it as a base eyeshadow.

Lastly and another product I was excited to see is the Spectrum Collection Small Fan Brush (RRP £4.99), a multi-tasking brush to lightly apply highlighter or powder products for a soft focus finish, or clear the under eye skin after applying eye shadows by sweeping away any excess product. All brushes from Spectrum Collections are made from the highest quality synthetic hair and they are also vegan registered and cruelty free.

My Verdict

This month’s Glossybox not only made a statement with it’s gorgeous summery coral hue but it also featured an amazing and such a fun variety of products that I can definitely see myself using and every single item can be easily integrated into anyone’s summer routine whether you’re simply out for a long day in the sun or off abroad. Stand-outs for me so far include the MONUspa Soothing After Sun Lotion (it’s incredibly hydrating with a refreshing citrus scent) and the Spectrum Collections Fan Brush – I already own quite a few of their brushes and fortunately I didn’t already have this one in my collection so that was a lovely bonus. I’m perhaps the most excited about the Bellapierre Banana Powder as I’ve been curious about the Ben Nye Powder for such a long time and refrained myself from buying one as I tend to give into hype only to be disappointed later so I’m delighted that Glossybox included this version amongst the line up. Value-wise, they’ve covered a good ground on the beauty front with mostly full sizes plus there’s also a host of new beauty products to play with which in turn makes the unboxing so much more fun! The July Glossybox is one you won’t want to miss as I predict a sell out!
