It’s a new month which means it’s time to unveil *Roccabox’s latest curation which for July is in collaboration with Adrienne who blogs at The Sunday Girl and excitingly and something that doesn’t happen often with budget subscription boxes is there’s a full size product from luxe brand Ellis Faas which is just incredible plus you’ll also find a generous amount of samples! If you’re new to Roccabox then they enlist the help of a beauty blogger to put their favourite picks forward inside each edition which is pretty unique and isn’t something that’s been done before. Here’s some of The Sunday Girl’s favourite picks that have made their way inside the July box:

Up first and the obvious showstopper inside this month’s box is the Ellis Faas Concealer (Full size RRP £22.00), it’s a risky addition as the shade won’t be suitable for everyone but luckily it was a good near match for me. With a unique blend of ingredients such as Karité oil and rice wax, the concealer promises to immediately blend into the skin  and offers high coverage, a flawless finish  and reduces the appearance of blemishes, pigmentation spots and dark circles. It also contains Vitamins E and C to hydrate and has anti-aging and regenerating properties. This concealer really ticks all the boxes and it’s very quickly become my go-to – Thanks Roccabox!

I’m always on the lookout for new dry shampoos and fortunately the Soap & Glory Rushower Dry Shampoo (Travel Size 50ml RRP £2.50) isn’t one I’ve tried before. Described as a scent-sational in-between washes quick-fix spritz, the spray instantly absorbs excess oil and dries so it’s invisible – even on dark hair (yay!). The Friction-activated Touch Release™ technology gives your hair a gorgeous burst of mandarin rose and bergamot whenever you run your fingers through it – how cool is that! It’s not the best dry shampoo I’ve come across as my roots felt greasy again by the afternoon but the scent is gorgeous, it’s fresh and lingers around for a good bit of time plus the size is perfect to carry around in the handbag for touch ups.

Up next is the Balance Me Congestion Skin Serum (Travel size) which soothes, calms skin breakouts and restores the skin’s natural balance. The serum contains a blend of Roman chamomile, anti-bacterial may chang, calming lavender and eucalyptus and organic aloe vera and spruce knot that soothes and cools without drying your skin out. I’m fighting a constant battle with breakouts, so this serum was definitely a welcome addition and it’s alsosomething I’ve tried before and liked!

I’ve got to admit being oily skinned I much prefer cream and gel cleansers so although I won’t be smothering the Burt’s Bees Cleansing Oil with Coconut and Argan Oil (Sample size) on my entire face, I will use this to remove stubborn eye make-up! Formulated with a unique blend of natural moisturisers, including Coconut and Argan Oils, the natural oils combined helps to keep skin soft, clean, and beautifully nourished and the antioxidant rich ingredients gently removes dirt and make-up without leaving an oily residue. It is dermatologist-tested and scientifically shown to cleanse and soften skin, naturally. It is 100% natural with no parabens, phthalates, petrolatum or SLS.

Who doesn’t love wonderful skin that glows? Of course all of us do! I’ve tried a couple of body care products from Evolve Organic Beauty and really liked them so I’m looking forward to trying out their Radiant Glow Face Mask (sample size). This rich face mask blended with Raw Cacao Powder and Clay revitalises and purifies, whilst coconut granules buff the skin to silky perfection.

Lastly is a sample of The Green Balm by Magic Organic Apothecary, a 100% natural multi-purpose cult healing/beauty balm that’s crammed with MOA’s hero herb yarrow, used for centuries to heal and repair for any little crisis!

My Verdict

So there you have it this month’s Roccabox review and while it was a little skin care heavy for my liking, the risky addition of the Ellis Faas Concealer definitely made up for the shortfall – the formula is so lovely and luckily the shade was good near match too! Line-up wise there’s a good selection of popular brands and those that are little unknown but in comparison to previous month’s the samples were noticeably a lot smaller and I would have personally liked to have seen more variety on the beauty front but nonetheless there’s a couple of skin care bits I’m looking forward to trying out and for the price you really can’t go wrong plus I think it was very generous of them to include a full size product from Ellis Faas, it was such a lovely surprise!
