I’m sure we’re all mourning the passing of summer but in terms of fashion and make-up autumn is by far my favourite season so although the temperatures will be dipping and the nights will soon be drawing in I’m so ready to bust out my boots, my scarves and chunky jumpers! With a new season in tow, this month’s Glossybox is a rather relaxed version and is filled with everyday staples to help us make that transition plus the majority is full sized making it excellent value for money and there’s also an additional treat in the form of a Kinder Bueno – chocolate just solves everything right!

If you’re new to Glossybox, it’s a monthly subscription box that comes packed with both deluxe-sized and full-size products and covers all areas of beauty from skin care, hair, nails, make-up and everything else in between from brands we all love and know as well as those hidden gems too! The box costs £13.25 per month and contains contents which always exceed the overall subscription price.

Without further ado here’s what I received inside my September Glossybox:

Up first and to weatherproof our hands for the change in season we have the Skinfix Hand Repair Cream (Full size 90ml RRP £12.99), an ultra rich hand cream which is effective for treating and managing eczema, dermatitis and other dry, cracked skin conditions on the hands. It works fast to create a barrier on the skin to help lock in moisture and keep irritants out. I’ve got so many hand creams to get through but this isn’t one that I’ve tried before so it’s definitely lined up to be used next!

The product that probably grabbed my attention the most this month (apart from the chocolate!) is the Pixi by Petra Brow Tamer (Full size RRP £12.00) as it’s my go-to when it comes to sticking by brows down! This light weight, translucent gel performs really well to hold your brows in place, doesn’t leave them feeling dry or crispy unlike other gels I’ve tried and benefits from added nourishing ingredients like aloe vera and panthenol. I ran out of my sample a few months ago so I’m delighted this has made its way inside my box!

Up next on the make-up front is the Stylondon Siligel Blender (RRP £5.99) which promises to help seamlessly apply foundation and face creams and I love that they can be washed pretty easily too unlike sponges!

Something else I’ve really been loving and using since I received my box is the Taylor’s 32 Classic Mint Natural Whitening Toothpaste (Full size RRP £5.00), it’s not the most glamorous addition but it’s definitely a useful one! This unique toothpaste formula contains mother nature’s best cleaning compounds, powerful natural flavours, and anti-oxidant vitamin E, to help keep your teeth and gums healthy, naturally and being full sized means you can really road test it to judge whether it works for you or not. I’ve been using this for a couple of days and although I’m yet to see any noticeable results on the whitening front I do love the freshness of the mint.

Up next we have the Monu Firming Fiji Facial Oil (Travel Size), a soothing facial oil lovingly formulated to smooth and comfort the skin whilst preventing dehydration. A refreshing blend of Bois de Rose and Patchouli Essential Oils will ensure skin feels calm, firm and visibly radiant whilst added Natural Plant Oils pamper pores and stimulate the complexion.

Lastly and a bonus item inside this month’s box is a full size Kinder Bueno – Yum!

My Verdict

So there you have it this month’s Glossybox review and although it wasn’t the most exciting edition I really enjoyed their September line-up as not only did they feature some great everyday products that almost everyone will be able to make use out from pampering skin care, refreshing toothpaste and some make-up treats but 5 out of 6 products are full sized which is really fab. In terms of favourites, the toothpaste is a firm winner not forgetting the chocolate which got eaten straight away before my husband spotted it and I’m also delighted to have another Pixi Brow Tamer as I ran out and was contemplating buying a new one so thank you Glossybox!

In other news: I think October is looking rather promising as Glossybox have a mermaid and unicorn box theme going on! I’m secretly hoping for the mermaid one but unicorns are just as awesome – hurry up October!
