Today’s unboxing and review features my September Look Incredible Deluxe Beauty Box and it’s a box that I always look forward to receiving as their curations have really had the wow factor lately but having said that I don’t think this month’s offering tops some of their previous edits in my opinion. Nonetheless, I did come across some favourites so it’s not a bad edit by no means and also featured products I’ve not tried before from a host of popular brands such as Make Up For Ever, Smashbox, Shiseido and Flora.py, plus every single item is full sized so you can be rest assured that you’re getting value for money as the contents usually total up to around £90.00+.

Without further ado here’s what I received inside the August Deluxe edition:

I’ve not explored much from Make Up For Ever and it’s the first time the brand’s been featured inside a Look Incredible Box so the Artistic Eye Shadow Palette (RRP £37.00) is a very welcome addition but I’m seriously struggling to get use out of all the eyeshadow palettes but then again these types of products are what rank up the total value of the contents! Launched in December 2016, this pro eye looks booster with 9 must-have Artist Shadows helps achieve multiple looks. All the shadows are very pigmented, blendable and so easy to apply but if I had to pick favourites, the standout shades for me in both colour and texture is the D-712 – Creme Brulee (Diamond) and ME-614 – Graphite Brown (Metallic)

I’ve got to admit I’m more of matte kind of girl when it comes to lip products so I was already in two minds whether I’d like the Smashbox Be Legendary Long Wear Lip Lacquer in the shade Firecracker (RRP £18.00) and now I’ve tried it and due to the vibrant orange-red hue I can confirm I’m not a fan. Described as a long-wearing and strongly pigmented hybrid formula, this goes on like a lacquer and lasts like a stain for 8 hours of wear.

Being a regular wearer of mascara, something that did pique my interest inside this month’s box was the Shisedio Nourishing Mascara Base (Full Size RRP £22.50) which promises to define every lash for dramatic curl and length. The intensifying mascara base works to promote lash health, enabling other mascaras to glide on effortlessly with intense colour depth, impact and volume. It’s also dermatologist and Opthalmologist -tested. I’ve never thought about using mascara primer before so I couldn’t wait to pair this with my beloved Loreal Telescopic mascara to see if it actually intensified the length and volume. I haven’t road tested this out for long but my initial impressions from using it a couple of times is it’s amazing! I have to say that so far it prevents smudging, adds a little more length to my lashes, holds a beautiful curl and to no surprise has ended up inside my makeup bag!

Lastly and on the skin care front is two masks from Flora.py (RRP £5.89 each), a brand I’ve not come across before but their products are inspired by the healing powers that blossom in nature. Their 100% coconut sheet masks are soaked in highly nutritious flower ingredients and powerful aromatherapy essential oils and each mask has been created to target certain skin concerns. Inside my box I received the Strength and Energy Mask and the Stress Relief Mask.

 My Verdict

So there you have it this month’s Look Incredible Deluxe edit and although their September line-up wasn’t a personal favourite of mine I did come across a hero product in the form of the mascara primer and it’s something I never knew I needed until this month’s box landed! Also another firm winner inside the box was the Make Up For Ever Eye Shadow Palette and this is probably going to be a very unpopular opinion but yet again there’s another eyeshadow palette which is fab but I’m really struggling to get use out of them all plus these types of products are what generally rank up the value of the contents so I’m not sure what they could replace it with! On a positive note it was promising to see that Look Incredible sourced some different brands for us this month and I’m particularly looking forward to trying out those face masks as I’ve been feeling a little rundown with all the house renovations going on – it really is no fun being an adult!  If you fancy subscribing be sure to check out my previous reviews here
