Tili Beauty Box Review – September 2017

A new season is here and so is my latest Tili Beauty Box and today I’ve got a quick (sorry – was suppose to be a quick review but I’ve rambled on a bit!) little unboxing for you all. Excitingly, my box arrived a week or so ago and I must say this edit in particular definitely sparked my interest a lot more in comparison to their previous curations mainly because it contains brands and products I’ve not explored previously and there’s even a couple of long standing favourites. With this in mind and at a steal of only £20.00 plus free postage I very quickly secured one for myself and it’s everything a beauty box should be from the affordable price tag right through to the contents nestled inside which include a mixture of full sizes and good sized samples.

If you aren’t familiar with the Tili Beauty Box, it’s a seasonal box that’s part of the QVC family (no subscription is required) and only costs £20.00 plus free P&P. Their curations contain a variety of new finds and old classics from the beauty realm and most of what you get are nice travel-sized samples but they also throw in some full sized products too.

Here’s a very quick overview of what they featured inside this seasons box:

1. Elemis Papaya Enzyme Peel – Travel Size 15ml

This creamy, exfoliating formula promises to revitalise the look of lacklustre skin and leave your complexion looking bright and feeling soft. It’s enriched with natural fruit enzymes of papaya and pineapple, plus vitamin E and marine algae and comes in a handy travel size to really trial it out.

2. Bareminerals Gen Nude Matte Liquid Lipcolour in Juju  – Full Size RRP £17.00

Being more of a matte lips kinda girl I was perhaps most excited to try out this matte liquid lipstick and 10/10 to Tili for the colour choice as the deep rosy mauve hue is definitely something I would have picked out myself. Described as a creamy full-coverage lip colour with a primer-infused formula, this is a great alternative for those that want the staying power of a liquid lip but the comfortability of a hydrating lipstick. This goes on like a cream but dries to a matte finish and  I have to say I was really pleasantly surprised and very much impressed on all fronts.

3. Gatineau Floracil Plus Gentle Eye Make-Up Remover – Full Size 118ml RRP £18.00

Being a regular wearer of mascara, eyeliner and contact lenses, a good eye make-up remover is a must for me and admittedly is just one the reasons why this season’s Tili Beauty Box appealed to me. This fragrance-free eye make-up remover that helps to instantly removes even waterproof mascara and heavy-duty eyeshadow and eyeliner to leave your eye area and lashes feeling smooth and conditioned. Infused with aloe vera, witch hazel and vitamin E. Ophthalmologist tested, and suitable for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers

4. Shay & Blue Blood Orange eau de parfum – Travel Size 10ml

A rich, refreshing fragrance with bursts of citrus underpinned with an opulent and sensual blend of musk, woods and leather, Top note: blood orange; heart: hot napa leather; base notes: musk, charred woods and amber. I know a lot of you aren’t fans of teeny perfume samples inside beauty boxes but this is really good sized and the perfect size to pop into the handbag.

5. Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum – Sample Size 10ml

This lightweight satin-feel formula is designed to reduce the appearance of dark spots, even skin tone and boost your skin’s radiance to leave your complexion looking brighter and glowing. This is a really nice serum by Caudalie and is something I keep going back to plus it’s a good option all year round for those with oily skin like me.

6. L’Occitane Almond Supple Skin Oil – Travel Size 15ml

A lightweight formula that melts into the skin to leave your skin feeling smooth, supple and soft. Enriched with over 50% almond oil, plus camelina oil.

7. Perfect Formula Pink Gel Coat – Full Size RRP £23.50

Another product out of the box that appealed to me is this Pink Gel Coat mainly because my nails never have a break from nail varnish and I love that whist the protein-rich formula strengthens your nails it also has a pink tint to bring out the colour of your nails for an enhanced finish.

8. Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Color Splash Lipstick in Colada – Travel size 1g

A peachy brown nude hue with a moisture-rich, long-lasting formula that gives full, creamy coverage. The ultra-creamy, vegan formula pairs intense pigments and buttery-smooth conditioners for comfort-swipe color that locks in place without feathering or bleeding.

9. Rituals The Ritual of Sakura Foaming Shower Gel – Travel size 50ml RRP £4.50

I absolutely adore Rituals and always make a point to visit their Covent Garden store if I’m in the area so although this isn’t a new find for me their foaming shower gels are my most favourite products from their range. Described as a rich gel that transforms into a creamy foam upon contact with water, it gently cleanses your skin and leaves it delicately fragranced with the uplifting scent of cherry blossom. Their shower gels also work wonders when shaving!

My Verdict

I would definitely say that this was £20.00 well spent!  Everything inside this box was on-trend and appropriate for the season plus the total value of the contents totalled up to around £90.00 which is so amazing. Discovery boxes like this one definitely are a great resource especially if you’re looking to try some new beauty products or brands without breaking the bank or looking for a gift for a relative or that beauty loving friend (it’s nearly Christmas – just saying!)
