If you’ve been after a natural beauty subscription that showcases new and interesting brands that have a lot to offer then you’ll just love December’s beautifully curated Skin Organics Box, it’s so aligned for this time of the year! Excitingly, this is my first introduction to the box and upon opening the box I was welcomed to a host of new discoveries from cruelty-free, vegan, and non-toxic beauty brands and this month they’ve really gone the extra mile as it feels like such a treat and smells and looks so festive thanks to the tea light candle and the Christmassy wrapping – the little things really do go a long way with me! If you’re new to Skin Organics who launched earlier this year then here’s a quick summary on how their subscription service works:

Skin Organics offers a clean beauty discovery every month and you will receive a box of carefully selected non-toxic and cruelty-free organic and natural skincare, body care & beauty products!  They are passionate about featuring ‘new’ and niche artisan products from upcoming, independent, and emerging brands as well as established and award winning brands.

Here’s what I received inside my December edition:

Up first we have the Bodhi & Birch Ylang-Ylang Incensa Bath & Shower Gel (Travel size 50ml RRP £5.50) and I don’t know about most people, but I just love getting great smelling bath products inside beauty boxes and this one is perfect for the evenings when you want to unplug and unwind. This sensual blend of Ylang-Ylang and Atlas Cedarwood, spiked with fragrant Honeysuckle, Neroli and Pink Peppercorn leaves the skin soft, supple, soothed and sumptuously fragranced.

Moving onto skin care and the item that probably caught my attention the most is the Konjac Company Mini Rudolph Pore Refiner with Red Clay(RRP £6.99) – he’s so, so cute and I absolutely love that they’ve created a festive range. Described as the ideal size for targeting and refining pores, the sponge reaches deep into creases around the nose and chin where larger pores can develop. It is also perfect for cleansing tired party eyes. The added red French clay helps protect the skin and is even suitable for those suffering from eczema, rosacea or psoriasis. This is definitely something my skin will benefit from plus I love these types of sponges their so squidgy!

Next from the line-up is the BRYT Night Cream (Full Size RRP £18.50) and it’s a very generous full size. I’ve not had much experience with this brand but I just love their fun and vibrant packaging! This deeply nourishing, cocooning night cream treats and nurtures skin while you sleep and helps to relax the mind and contains a essential oils including Rose Absolute, Chinese Geranium, Palma Rose and Lavender plus theur unique APS formulation which is rich in super-antioxidants, Vitamin E, Shea Butter and African Marula Oil, cherished for its remarkable moisturising and healing properties. It also boasts being free from petrochemicals, sulphates, silicones, parabens, phthalates and GM ingredients and is a vegan and cruelty-free formula.

At the age of 35, my skin care routine has gone through many revisions and it still is but thanks to beauty boxes and experimenting with all the lotions and potions I’ve learned that fighting oily skin with oil is actually a thing so I was happy to see the Narloa Madarin Cleansing Oil (Full size RRP £12.50)! This is a beautiful cleanser powered by a luxurious blend of plant oils and not only cleanses the skin but it also lifts impurities in a soothing way. It promises to dissolve makeup and clears congested skin, leaving your face feeling soft and hydrated. A little bit goes a long way, so this bottle will last a while!

Skin Organics Box have really got us covered this December and next out of the box is the Siskyn Grapefruit & Sweet Fennel Toning Body Oil (RRP £13.00), a quickly absorbed blend of 14 pure botanical plant oils built to help detoxify and maintain your skin tone. It includes a host of good for you ingredients such as super boosting Black Cumin Seed to provide deep and lasting moisturisation and Carrot Seed essential oil to help improve skin tone and elasticity.

Lastly and to treat all their subscribers seeing as it’s December, Skin Organics Beauty Box have also thrown in a Lillian Jones Cinnamon Tea Light Candle and a Truffle Pig (Vegan) Handmade Dark Orange Rose & Raspberry Chocolate which was a lovely touch.

My Verdict

As much as December is a fun and festive time of the year, it can be equally chaotic and very often our brains and bodies certainly need time to relax and recharge..and this is where the Skin Organics Box comes in and they’ve really got us covered from pre-party fixes to that all important pamper time for the aftermath! My first experience with this box was definitely a positive one and overall, I’m super impressed with the line-up, all the new discoveries and not forgetting the extra effort they’ve put in to make the unboxing that more Christmassy. All the products featured were all perfectly aligned with the season and included a very nice range of nourishing skin and body care plus I love that they included a couple of extra treats too. It’s really hard to pick favourite, but I’m going to have to go with the Narloa Madarin Cleansing Oil, the Konjac Sponge and the Bodhi and Birch body wash as they are the three products I’ve been using daily since receiving the box! Judging by the contents of other beauty boxes I really think the smaller and independent companies such as Skin Organics Box are for sure leading the way, they’ve certainly put a lot more passion and effort in to make the boxes that extra special this month.

If you’re looking to explore or integrate more clean beauty products into your routine (or need some gift ideas for friends and family), this month’s box is absolutely worth picking up.  It offers so much variety at an amazing price too! They also do a vegan friendly box too!
