With the festivities over, waiting for January’s pay day to land and wishing summer would hurry up even more than ever, the start of a new year can be such a miserable time but thankfully *Moi-Même Box have come to rescue to beat those January blues and their latest edition is all about those little happiness hacks that can be easily incorporated into our daily routines! I absolutely loved their previous edition and this one is just as impressive and crammed full of beautiful new finds and excitingly there’s also a personalised treat something which really makes this box that extra special. Moi-Même Box will also be donating 10% of the profits from their Happiness Box to Heads Together, the campaign launched by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry. Heads Together works in partnership with eight mental health charities that are helping children, young people and adults deal with issues such as anxiety, depression and suicide prevention. You can find out more about the campaign and the partner charities at www.headstogether.org.uk

If you’re new to Moi-Même Box then they are a quarterly subscription box that features an expertly styled assortment of fashion, beauty and lifestyle treats and also offer both full size and premium products. The boxes are also centred around a theme and really are a true treat.

Here’s a closer look at all the goodies that made the cut inside their January edition:

Up first and to kick start the new year we have The 100 Day Happiness Planner (RRP £20.00) and it’s something I’ve always been curious about so I’m delighted one has made its way to me inside this month’s box and it comes in an array of beautiful colours which can be swapped for another if you’re not happy. The Happiness Planner is described as a planner like no other and instead of focusing on productivity, it focuses on “your happiness”. It is designed to help you welcome more positivity, joy, and happiness into your life by applying the practices of positive thinking, positive affirmations, mindfulness, gratitude, and self-development. The focus is on making each day a positive experience, building introspection into your routine and increasing self-awareness. I pretty much use my phone for reminders, notes etc so I’m looking forward to writing inside this.

Sticking to the happiness theme up next is the Lagom: The Swedish Art of Living a Balanced, Happy Life Book by Niki Brantmark (RRP £10.00), a Swedish lifestyle concept I’m not familiar with but it’s all about living a rewarding but responsible life, not denying yourself or sacrificing what you love, while not taking from the planet more than you need, slowing down, living consciously, finding balance and, therefore, happiness – that’s really deep in compassion to Hygge but it sure sounds interesting!

Whenever I’m feeling stressed, one of my favourite ways to unwind is with a hot soak in the bath, complete with candles (or sometimes wine and music – whatever my mood calls for!). While this rare treat is a welcome luxury just on its own, I like to turn the event into a mini spa-treatment for my skin and senses at the same time and the Jade & Vetiver Restorative Bath Oil (Full size RRP £43.00) is just so perfect for that and is the the most expensive bath oil within my collection! Combining botanical extracts, jade micro crystals and the serene scent of vetiver to help soothe, renew and moisturise the skin, the oil helps you to achieve equilibrium and a balanced, happy mind. Their Bath Oil is filled with Apple Seed, Olive, Tamanu, Sweet Almond, Meadowfoam Seed and Amazonian Inca Inchi Oils to moisturise, soothe, protect and nourish skin, along with antioxidant Vitamin E to protect against environmental damage.

Just one of reasons why I love Moi-Meme Box is they very often send out personalised products and this month all subscribers can expect to see a Lisa Angel Monogram Mug (RRP £9.00) with their initial on it – new favourite coffee cup right here! To test out the Lisa Angel Mug we also have a sample of the Lola’s Apothecary Clementine Calamity Relaxing Wellness tea bag (x1) which contains a blend of gentle calming herbs such as lemon balm, passion flower, oat straw and linden flower, supercharged with adaptogenic herbs, gynostemma and rhodiola, to support the system in times of stress.

Up next and another lifestyle treat from Lisa Angel is the Leather and Ball Chain Bracelet (RRP £10.00) which is available in grey and rose gold or stone and silver. This delicate bracelet features a leather band with a curved bar, a chain with tiny beads and a tassel finish and will compliment any outfit!

Lastly we have some chocolate to indulge in from a brand I’ve not come across before – Creighton’s Chocolaterie! With various flavours available, I received the Custard Cream Chocolate Bar (RRP £4.00) which is inspired by treats from the picnic hamper and has been designed to taste like a custard cream biscuit  with white chocolate and tons of hidden crunchy bits, all wrapped in a special edition sleeve. I literally demolished this yummy chocolate in one day and I’m not even sorry!

My Verdict

For me personally this month’s curation is so, so relevant and it couldn’t have arrived at a better time as I certainly need to practice loving and pampering myself more as work and blogging very often takes over leaving very little time for anything! In terms of the line-up, it had a really nice vibe to it which is perfect for this time of the year and as always everything picked out was done so with precision. My favourite products so far are the bath oil, the bracelet and the mug. I am also excited to start using the Happiness Planner as I’ve been wanting to get one but I tend to give in to hype only to be disappointed later so it was such a nice surprise to see this inside the this month’s edit. The only thing I would say is it was a little disappointing to see two products from Lisa Angel this month and although I love both the mug and the bracelet I think it would have been nice if they featured something from a different lifestyle brand but other than that I thought this month’s box was the perfect antidote to beat those January blues.
