It’s June which means we’re officially in summer territory (yay!). This month Glossybox are taking us on a little journey (unfortunately we won’t be needing our passports!) with their French Riviera edit to bring us a relaxed selection of summer essentials from skin care, make-up and hair. Glossybox have also partnered with leading haircare brand REMINGTON to secretly include exclusive golden tickets inside 5 lucky GLOSSYBOXES. Those lucky enough to receive a golden ticket will win 1 of 5 ProLuxe hair tools from the Remington Range.

If you’re new to Glossybox, it’s a monthly subscription box that comes packed with both deluxe-sized and full-size products and covers all areas of beauty from skin care, hair, nails, make-up and everything else in between from brands we all love and know as well as those hidden gems too! The box costs £13.25 per month and contains contents which always exceed the overall subscription price.

Here’s what I received inside my June edition:

Laritzy Cosmetics have been popping up quite a lot inside some boxes as of late! First out of the box and something all subscribers will receive is the Shade Stix (Full size RRP £18.00), a buildable cream formula that promises to give off the perfect sunkissed glow, regardless of how bright it is. You simply swipe where you want some radiance and blend with fingers.

With all the damage caused by the sun, chlorine and sea salt during this time of year, I think the Novex Mystic Black Deep Hair Mask (Travel Size 100ml) is such an apt addition so I’m sure almost everyone will be able to put this to good use plus it’s a very good size for a sample! The mask provides the most powerful hydration and magical shine for damaged and tangled hair and is free of parabens, silicones and sulfates. It contains intense, hydrated oil from the seed of the Baobab Tree which originated in Africa to help prevent dryness and brittleness and repair split ends caused by heat tools, weather and chemical treatments.

Moving onto skin care we have Monu SkinEye Cool Gel (Full Size RRP £24.95), a refreshing gel that instantly restores hydration and refreshes the sensitive eye area. It contains a unique blend of Arnica, Vitamin C, Sodium Hyaluronate and Ginseng to effectively reduce puffiness and dark circles under the eye whilst lifting, plumping and correcting skin tone for a fresh, flawless look. Delivering immediate results, the Eye Cool Gel is an all-round miracle, leaving eyes brighter and skin rejuvenated.

Up next is the Nip + Fab Glycolic Scrub Fix (Travel size 50ml) and is something I’m really looking forward to trying as I really like the Nip + Fab glycolic fix pads so I’m hoping this is just as good. This 3-in-1 micro exfoliant is packed with 3% glycolic acid and salicylic acid to refine, brighten + renew. Glycolic Fix Facial scrub works deep into pores to cleanse, polish + reduce blemishes from the first use. With a fruity grapefruit scent, it energises + awakens the skin.

Last but not least and another handy travel size is the Gatineau Gentle Eye Makeup Remover (50ml), an innovative lightweight formula that gently removes eye make-up without leaving a greasy residue on the eye area. It contains extracts of cucumber, Green tea and Aloe Vera to cool and soothe dry, tired eyes and refresh the appearance of under eye circles. This is also Hypoallergenic and suitable for contact lens wearers – I think this is going to work really well for those who suffer with hayfever too due to the cooling and soothing formula.

My Verdict

Once again this month’s Glossybox features mainly new discoveries for me which in turn certainly keeps things interesting when it comes to unboxings. Their June line up was a much more relaxed version in comparison to the last few boxes and although it wasn’t the most exciting edition from them it’s definitely a useful one and contains breezy skin and hair care that can easily slot into your existing routines. As well as all the lotions and potions, all subscribers can also expect to see a make up treat in the form of the LaRitzy Bronzing stick – sadly I wasn’t a fan but the stick applicator makes it really easy to use. Overall, the June Glossybox offers a decent variety of products, new finds and includes some handy travel sizes perfect for those who have upcoming holidays. Don’t forget to keep your eyes peeled for that golden ticket!
