Not the best start of the year for me and my family and although I was contemplating on taking a break from the blog this month, my coping method seems to be keeping busy at any opportunity to stop my mind wandering off into those dark moments so here I am! With this in mind and a very welcome distraction is the January Moi-Même Thrive Edition Box which is centred around nurturing our mental and physical wellbeing and for me personally health is on top of the list. I absolutely love the idea behind this curation and the attention to detail that’s gone into delivering the theme plus the mix of both beauty and lifestyle goodies in addition to the quality brands they partner with just keeps that interest flowing all year round! Their January edition also features a big name brand and I know many of you will be very excited about this addition!

If you’re new to Moi-Même Box then they are a quarterly subscription box that features an expertly styled assortment of fashion, beauty and lifestyle treats and also offer both full size and premium products. The boxes are also centred around a theme and really are a true treat.

Here’s a closer look at all the goodies that made the cut inside their January edition:

First out of the box and to kick start the thrive theme we have the Your Dream Life Starts Here Book by Kristina Karlsson (RRP £18.00) who is the founder of global stationary brand Kikki K. The book encourages readers to follow their dreams and unlike some traditional books in this field which leave you feeling inspired without any solid plan of action, this read is different and provides a blueprint for you to actually achieve those dreams.

Up next and quite possibly my absolute favourite is the Kate Spade Polka Dot Lunch Tote (RRP £28.00). For me 2019 is all about health which in turn also means not skipping lunch so this is going to be such a handy addition for me and I’m already putting it to good use – it’s a big upgrade from the plastic lunch tubs! Decorated using the Deco Dot design, the coated fabric exterior features a cream background with black polka dots. The lid of the bag has a carry handle attached and secures with a gold zip with matching golden zip pulls. The insulated bag also keeps your food fresh!

Sticking to lifestyle, we have the Lucky Face Bracelet by Rachel Jackson London (RRP £30-40) and there’s quite a few variations from this brand’s collection in the form of either a necklace or a bracelet however if you’re not happy you can get your item swapped with another thanks to the excellent customer service at Moi-Meme Box!

Moving onto beauty is the Nakin Performance Face Serum (RRP £25.00), a natural anti-ageing face serum elixir rich in antioxidant oils and extracts. The active formula includes Hibiscus and Hyaluronic Acid that condition, smooth fine lines and improve elasticity, restoring the appearance of skin. It’s also suitable for all skin types including sensitive skin.

Last but not least and a blast from the past is a product from Love Me Beauty’s  Phase Zero range! I received the Blusher (RRP £7.50) in the shade Cotton Candy.  Described as a silky smooth formulation, it promises to blend seamlessly onto skin to deliver a veil of natural-looking colour that’s subtle, yet buildable. I’ve seen so many bloggers rave about Phase Zero and I’m really excited to finally have one of their products to try out!

My Verdict

Moi-Meme Box curated some fantastic boxes in 2018, so the January edition definitely had a lot to live up to and it’s safe to say that they totally hit it out of the park with great quality and useful products that will not fail to brighten up the month of January! Mastering themes quarter upon quarter, this month’s Thrive Box is no exception and features a good balance of both lifestyle and beauty options and I’ve already been getting a fair amount of use out of the lunch tote, the bracelet and the blusher. If you appreciate both beauty and lifestyle items and don’t need a subscription box full of beauty every month, I highly recommend Moi-Meme Box. Now, I can imagine that the price may be off putting for some but this does break down to £16.65 a month. That being said, your  money is going towards luxury, full-sized products with a much higher value than you’d expect from a £10.00-£15.00 monthly subscription. Where there are variations in terms of colours, products etc subscribers can swap these for their preferred options which is so amazing.
