The last few months have taught me that I’m not super woman and with that comes failing to keep up with the blog amongst other things but one thing for certain is I need to practice more me time and last month’s Moi-Même Box could not have come at a better time! I think you’ll agree they absolutely nailed the “Magical Moments” theme and it is the perfect time to indulge in such things as we enter Autumn! After a dreary week of clouds, rain and hospital appointments this edition definitely gave me that much needed boost and each item felt special, luxurious, and useful but at the same time a very gentle reminder about the little things in life –  sometimes magic is found in the smallest of things!

Here’s what I received:

  • Maison Meunier Tranquality Bath Salts – Full size
  • Katie Loxton Magical Moments Notepad – A5 size
  • Love Cocoa Salted Caramel Milk Chocolate – Full size

Health Update

This probably isn’t the right arena but I’ve received so many messages asking about my health so I thought I would address this within today’s post. The tumour in my bowel has thankfully shrunk and is now scar tissue, there is still a pool of liquid under the scar tissue which may contain cancer cells (unfortunately there is no way of knowing until those cells form a tumour). Some of you may also know that I decided to not go ahead with the operation as my bowel function would have been extremely poor so the Royal Marsden have agreed to monitor me every months which consists of MRI’s, CT’s and Colonoscopy’s. In recent months I have also been diagnosed with a genetic condition called Lynch Syndrome which increases my risk of getting other types of cancers and I am now under the care of gynaecology and dermatology teams. Other than that, I can’t really complain, I’m somewhat feeling back to my usual self – my bowel on the other hand is not but hey it could have been a hell of a lot worse in terms of prognosis. I’ve just had my next lot of scans and hoping that these come back clear.

Do you subscribe to the monthly Moi-Même Box? I’d love to know your thoughts on this month’s edition.
