The April My Little Box has landed and this month’s theme is dreams, the one characteristic that we all share and with this in mind you can expect to see fluffy clouds and quotes to inspire us to chase our aspirations alongside a great line up of beauty and lifestyle treats.  Just when you think you’ve seen the best of My Little Box they go and surprise us with another showstopping edition and I’m sure you will agree there’s a lot to love about this month’s box although it might not be to everyone’s taste but I love it!

I know I say this every month but this box never fails to impress me with this months edition being no exception. From it’s chic presentation to the stylish and luxe contents within, it beautifully captures this month’s theme.

This box offers something very different compared to the other boxes and if their previous boxes are anything to go by you will certainly not be disappointed. It’s definitely a showstopper and one which is beautifully composed with their very own in-house illustrator Kanako. Every month the box truly captures me and the contents and loveliness inside is even more pleasing, it’s something which My Little Box do extremely well.

My Little Box is a hand-picked and beautifully designed box of beauty, fashion and lifestyle surprises. With fashion accessories, beauty products and other goodies created exclusively for you and based around a different theme every month, each box promises to delight their subscribers. They also produce their in house beauty products known as My Little Beauty.

The April edition features five items with an incredible value of £58.79 and includes a mixture of body care, make up and a hair product contained within a charming drawstring bag alongside two lifestyle items. Enclosed is the My Little World Magazine which has had a make-over and now opens up as a poster although I much preferred the hand bag sized magazine. Inside you can expect to see an interview with the lovely Caroline Hirons, alongside some beauty tips and on the reverse there’s a massive poster which was quite a nice surprise.

1. Cowshed Wild Cow Invigorating Body Lotion – Travel Size 100ml RRP £10.00

Unfortunately I received this inside my December box but thankfully the fantastic customer service team at My Little Box will be sending me the perfume instead but nevertheless, I love Cowshed products and you definitely need some what of a sense of humour to really appreciate this brand. There is a range for all sorts of different cows from lazy cow to even a saucy cow as well as others!

Cowshed products are quintessentially British and all Made in England. Inspired by nature, Cowshed’s range of honest, natural and therapeutic products, use only the best organic and wildcrafted plant extracts and the highest quality essential oils.

I received the Wild Cow Invigorating Body Lotion which contains the finest quality Shea and Cocoa Butters to moisturise and tone the skin. It’s infusion of Lemongrass, Ginger and Rosemary helps to refresh and cleanse, awaken the senses and sharpen the mind. The texture of the cream is quite rich and feels really nourishing on the skin, it’s great pick me up in the morning after a shower to wake up the body and mind.

2.  Loved by Lou Lesage Lip Balm  – Full Size RRP £8.00

One of the aspects I love about My Little Box is the opportunity to discover some of their home grown beauty brands and this month there’s a pot of lip balm by French actress, Lou Lesage.

In a rouge shade, the lip balm applies sheer but also has the benefit of being buidable to give you a lovely wash of colour without any stickiness. It’s creamy texture feels really comfortable on the lips and the best bit is that it’s so easy to apply that you can do it without a mirror!

3.  My Little Beauty Repairing Hair Mask – Full Size 100ml RRP £7.00

I think it’s pretty amazing that My Little Box also have their own beauty range which is called My Little Beauty.

This month see’s a full sized hair mask particularly for dry ends which is great for restoring post-winter hair. The masks contains the goodness from refined walnut oil and shea butter to give a real boost to dry and damaged hair and you simply leave on for two minutes and rinse off.

4. Lifestyle Items

This month’s box included two lifestyle items which really complemented the theme, although I really wouldn’t expect anything less from My Little Box.

First up is a Bonne Etoile Locket designed by Delphine Pariente exclusively for My Little Box (RRP £20) and is enclosed within a cloud that was just too cute to tear open. The locket reads ‘Lucky Star’ and is tied with a cord, and together they make such a dainty partnership. It’s not really the kind of accessory I would usually go for but it can easily be transformed into a bracelet charm or even a keyring.

Last but certainly not least is the the Stamped With Love (RRP £8.00) it’s such a cute stationary item and comes with it’s very own ink pad too. There’s 12 different rotatable sayings in both English and French alongside some patterns too, and can be used for almost anything from letters to scrapbooking. It works great and looks so pretty.

 My Verdict

Month on month, inside and out, My Little Box truly wows me. The extra little touches such as the clouds and the quotes captured the theme beautifully and for us UK subscribers it was our first ever debut of both stationary and jewellery within this edition so it was great to see these lifestyle items alongside the beauty line up which featured a good mix. Whilst I had received a duplicate, My Little Box were super quick to resolve this issue so I’m looking forward to receiving the perfume as it’s gone down quite well with subscribers.  This month’s box has an amazing value of around £53.00 beating the price of the box and there was also a few discount codes included to redeem against some of the brands showcased

My Little Box is full of charm and I love the surprise aspect as they do not release any spoilers. This is a box that I eagerly wait for and due to its uniqueness definitely stands out from the rest and delivers something very magical which is guaranteed to make you smile.

If you like chic and adorable lifestyle items along with good beauty brands, you will simply fall in love with this box and I can’t recommend it enough!
