*Nailbox is a fairly new monthly subscription and being a self-confessed nail varnish obsessive I very much welcome this concept which delivers a selection of nail varnish alongside a nail tool straight to your door at a bargain price each month. June’s Nailbox features a beautiful selection of of shades that will take your nails from day to night effortlessly alongside an addition of a top coat from a well-known and loved brand to enhance that shine and longevity. I can’t even begin to imagine the amount of nail polishes I own but this box really brings a great mix of brands and colours that will simply leave you wanting more!

Nailbox is a monthly subscription box and each edition will contain five items (including three or four nail polishes and one or two nail tools or treatments) and you don’t need to worry about duplicate colours as there will always be new colours for you to try every single month.

This month’s edition features Essie, Nails Inc, Seche Vite, Tanya Burr and Elegant Touch. Inside the box is four full sized nail varnishes and a cuticle nipper.

1. Nails Inc Colville Mews  – Full Size. RRP £13.50

I love Nails Inc so was really pleased to see Colville Mews which is a neutral shade from their gel collection.

A couple of coats really shows it’s true beauty and it doesn’t even require a top coat as it’s super shiny. I think this is the perfect 9 to 5 shade that I can see myself wearing quite often.

Sometimes neutral nails are a little boring but you can simply apply some sparkly glitter polish on top to glam them up.

2. Essie Roarrrrange  – Full Size RRP £8.95

I’m feeling rather spoilt as Essie is another brand that I really love. Roarrrrange is a very bright and juicy orange creme and literally screams summer.

A couple of coats and you’re pretty much good to go but for me it’s a little too loud for my liking but would look absolutely stunning on tanned skin, I so need a holiday!

3. Tanya Burr Mischief Managed – Full Size RRP £5.99

I’ve not tried anything from the Tanya Burr range so welcome this new discovery in the form of Mischief Managed which is named after the phrase in the Harry Potter films.

I own so many shades of red but thankfully this isn’t a typical shade, it’s a bright red with subtle undertones of orange. It’s a really pretty colour, perfect for this time of the year and applies effortlessly within two coats.

4. Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat – Full Size RRP £9.00

Seche Vite has to be one of the most hyped up products in the beauty world but unfortunately I’m not a fan but undoubtedly it will be very popular amongst subscribers this month.

You either love it or you hate it, for me it’s the latter. I like the brush, I like the consistency and not forgetting the high shine finish but after a few uses I’ve found that it’s turned goopy and thick making it impossible to apply. It’s been a couple of years since I last tried it so will definitely give it another chance.

5. Elegant Touch Cuticle Nipper – Full Size RRP £12.50

Aside from the nail varnishes Nailbox also include a nail tool within their editions and tucked inside the box is an Elegant Touch Cuticle Nipper. I usually leave this to my beautician to sort out but it’s always handy to have one on standby and being stainless steel it boasts good quality too.

My Verdict

Since their first ever box, Nailbox have literally hit the nail on the head and continue to deliver a great line up showcasing a wealth of quality brands with a different mix of colours each month, all of which are on-trend and absolutely gorgeous. Apart from the orange shade which I won’t be able to pull off anytime soon I’m pretty happy with the remainder and hoping that I can rekindle my love for the Seche Vite! Keeping to the nail theme it was also great to see a nail tool in the form of a cuticle nipper, great to have on standby when you can’t get an appointment for a manicure. Being a nail varnish obsessive I only know too well how expensive some of these brands are so in terms of value it’s fantastic whilst being on the affordable side of the scale too. This month’s box has an exceptional value of £49.94 which is a complete bargain when you take into account the price of the box.

The box itself is robust and packaged very well which ensures that the nail polishes arrived in tip top condition.

If you tend to stick to classic shades this box definitely gives you the opportunity to try something which you normally wouldn’t reach out for and it’s the perfect fix for nail enthusiasts or for those who simply want to grow their nail varnish collection.
