I’m a little late to the party with my *July Cohorted Beauty Box review as it arrived a little later than usual but after seeing a cheeky spoiler I was eager to get my hands on it. With a wealth of luxurious and well-known brands on board these never fail to impress me and the July edition boasts another great line up with the majority being new discoveries for me. Inside you can expect to see four beauty treats worth an incredible £63.50 and with the last two editions mainly containing make up items there’s a great balance of beauty this month.

The July edition features the brands St Tropez, Gucci, Diego Dalla Palma and Nails Inc. As always the contents come beautifully presented inside their signature black box secured with an organza ribbon giving it a very luxurious look and feel.

1.   Diego Dalla Palma Palette – Full Size RRP £25.00

The Diego Dalla Palma Palette is definitely my favourite product from the bunch of goodies this month. Inspired by the film Snow White and the Huntsman it contains six eyeshadows which complement the aptly named Wicked Queen lipstick and the Dark Night Eye Liner.

With a mixture of natural matte and shimmer shades these pack a punch and each shade has been named an appropriately Snow White and the Huntsman style name too, which is really cute.

I love the Wicked Queen lipstick, it’s a true classic red that I can see suiting all skin tones. Every girl needs a good red lippie and this one is definitely a goodie. The eyeliner has a great depth of black but I would have preferred a much creamier formula.

This collector’s palette is pretty decent that gives you that natural Snow White look. The versatile shades work really well with my skin tone making it perfect for daily use.

2.   Gucci Guilty Perfumed Shower Gel –  Travel Size 50ml Worth £7.50

Gucci Guilty is one of my favourite scents and it’s one that grabs attention each time I wear it so I very much welcome this decadent shower gel with a mild lathering formula that creates a soft foam upon contact with water that works to get rid of impurities, while respecting its delicate balance. The sensual scent of pink pepper, red fruits, violet and amber smells amazing and it’s ideal if you want just a light touch of fragrance during the day.

3.   St.Tropez Gradual Tan Plus Firming 4 in 1 Lotion – Full Size 150ml RRP £20.00

This multitasking lotion tans, tones, firms and moisturizes for a beach-perfect body all year! Used daily, this easily-absorbed formula builds a gradual glow and provides 24-hour hydration for soft, glowing skin. Chronodyn™ energizes your cells to improve the tone and firmness of problem areas and anti-oxidants reinforce skin’s natural defences.

If you’re a regular reader you’ll know that I’ve had a few mishaps lately so I’m delighted to have received another tanning product to trial.

4.   Nails Inc Matte Polish in ‘Gatwick’  – Full Size RRP £11.00

I already have this same matte polish from another beauty box and this one in particular has rekindled my love for this type of finish.

Gatwick is a chic classic red leaning orange which goes on shiny and dries to a bold matte finish. The consistency of the polish is smooth which is quite novel but as with all matte polishes this does show up all mistakes you make but nonetheless the colour is really stunning.

My Verdict

Cohorted have once again curated another fantastic edition which showcases a good balance of beauty treats with everything being very usable for me. I’m particularly smitten with the palette and although it’s a little dated, the colours are so spot on for my skin tone and it’s a great little kit for accompanying you when traveling. Unlike previous editions this isn’t dominated by make-up so it was great to see a variety of products to mix things up. This month’s box included three full-sized products and one travel sized sample with a value totaling to £63.50 which is amazing when you take into the account the price of the box.

I really lust over premium brands and this box really gives you ample opportunity to discover well known and loved brands for a fraction of the price with the majority of the products being full sized.

If you need a little cheering up or a guilt-free treat each month this box can be purchased as a one off transaction so there’s no subscription involved giving you full control and flexibility to purchase as and when you want to. The only downside is due to the limited amount available each month these sell out straight away so you need to be super quick as well having the patience of a saint as getting onto their website during the go-live is a battle in itself!
