A new month means new beauty treats and trends within the ever evolving Love Me Beauty Boutique and August showcases a selection of new arrivals from Carmex, Talika, ARK, Nude and ModelCo alongside a beauty tool from Love Me Beauty’s own collection. This post rounds up some of the lovely new additions which you can expect to see inside this month’s boutique. There’s a good balance of beauty this month including some products from previous months so whether you love make-up, nails, skincare or beauty tools there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Each month the Love Me Beauty monthly subscription is worth 6 credits and you simply chose the items you want inside your box from a selection of products ranging from hair, body, nails, skincare and make-up with majority of the items being either 1 or 2 credits.
1. Nude ProGenius Omega Treatment Rescue Oil – (2 credits) Sample Size 5ml
I’ve not tried much from Nude and since discovering that facial oils are actually beneficial for oily skin I was delighted to see this rescue oil as it’s jam packed with goodness.
The Nude ProGenius Omega Treatment Oil contains omegas 3,6,7 and 9 and promises to transform your skin and reduce the signs of ageing, with quick results. It’s completely vegan and free of parabens, sulphates and phthalates. As well as being packed with omega, it also contains 10 carefully selected plant oils that hydrate and smooth your skin.
Whilst this is a sample it’s quite good sized as I find with oils you only need a couple of drops so I can see this lasting for at least a couple of weeks if not more. It also comes with a pump dispenser – not really something I see very often in samples but very welcomed! The oil itself looks and feel like a typical oil and left my skin feeling soft, moisturised and revived without clogging my pores or causing any breakouts. I’ve been using this as a night treatment for a couple of days so it will be interesting to see how this performs over time.
2. ARK Age Prepare Skin Purifying Masque – (2 credits) Full Size 75ml RRP £25.00
Unlike the majority of skincare products which solely target skin types, ARK’s approach is by the stage your skin is at during the age process. There are three ranges available from ARK according to age and the Skin Purifying Masque from their Age Prepare collection is aimed at teens to early 30’s so I just about made the cut, that was lucky!
This mask targets congested skin and absorbs excess oil, helps to reduce the appearance of enlarged pores and diminishes blemishes leaving the skin feeling calm and clear.
I received a sample of this few months ago and my oily skin absolutely loved it, especially the cooling sensation which feels really soothing. I’m really happy to be reacquainted again with a very generous sized 75ml worth an incredible £25.00!
3. Talika Bio Enzymes Hydrating Mask – (2 credits) RRP £8.00
Inspired by skin regeneration therapy, this innovative hydrating sheet mask from Talika forms a second skin to deliver potent ingredients deep into your skin for super targeted results. Not only do these masks offer a high concentration of active ingredients, but because these ingredients are delivered in the form of a second skin sheet mask, they offer ultimate ease-of-use and convenience making them perfect for travel or for those who lead busy lifestyles.
4. Carmex Strawberry Lip Balm with SPF 15 – (1 credit) Full Size RRP £1.65
Carmex is a cult favorite not forgetting a true classic when it comes to lip balms. It’s affordable, and most importantly, it works! It’s a lip balm that I can truly rely on when my lips are really dry and need some TLC.
This feels almost like a lip gloss and looks like one too, but without that horrible sticky residue. Just like the classic this has the same tingly sensation on the lips and the strawberry scent is rather delicious too without being too overpowering.
5. ModelCo Make up – (2 credits each)
Got wobbly hands? Then the ModelCo Eye Define Liquid Liner (RRP £9.50) is perfect for that!
This felt tip eyeliner gives you precise lines which you can make thin, thick and winged with complete ease. The jet black formula glides on smoothly and stays on the eyelids for the entire day and is easily removed with a makeup remover. I love the blackness and longevity of this liner, it really makes the eyes pop!
The ModelCo Lip Duo (RRP £11.50) contains a long-wear cream lipstick and a super shiny gloss, all in one!
The lipstick goes on smoothly and almost has a lip balm like feel to it. The shade is a brownish nude, which surprisingly really suits me! The gloss is super shiny and with teeny specks of shimmer. I love this duo it really gives you the best of both worlds and will simply take you from day to night effortlessly.
7. Love Me Beauty Nail File – 1 credit
As well as the beauty products Love Me Beauty have created a collection of their own branded beauty tools, majority of which have sold out now but the emery board which is robust and good quality is still up for grabs.
My Verdict
This month’s boutique showcases another great line up of top-to-toe treats from an array of established brands alongside a few new discoveries with something for every beauty enthusiast. Whether you love makeup, skincare, nails, beauty tools or a little bit of everything Love Me Beauty has all areas covered this month. The products are really generous in size too and when you take some of the RRP’s into account it’s exceptional value for money.
