As tans fade and temperatures cool, it’s the start of a new season and the *September’s Style Edition features seasonally-appropriate beauty treats from haircare, nails and make up to help make that transition to autumn a complete breeze. This month’s box is adorned with beautiful artwork with matching presentation inside and as always gets full marks from me. There’s definitely quite a few highlights this month covering a good area of beauty and in terms of the theme I think they’ve stuck with it throughout. The box also boasts five full sized products so it’s incredible value for money again this month. It may be a coincidence but the products match the colour scheme too!
Glossybox is a monthly beauty subscription service. The box consists of 4-5 selected hair, make-up , body and nail products from well-known brands and new brands and includes a mixture of full sized and sample products.
1. Maria Nila Luminous Colour Hair Masque – Full Size 250ml RRP £18.95
As we move towards autumn the change of temperature definitely presents new challenges for my hair so this hair masque is a great addition inside this month’s box. The tub is absolutely huge and worth an incredible £18.95 so it’s a very generous addition within this month’s box.
Hailing from Sweden, Maria Nila isn’t a brand that I’ve come across before but their products are mainly aimed at salons although they do supply to the public too.
Packed with nourishing, strengthening and protecting goodness the masque claims to enhance both coloured and natural hair whist also caring for it too. The formula also boasts being sulphate and paraben free and 100% vegan meaning it’s gentle for the hair too which I really love as I’m moving more towards friendlier haircare.
2. Invisibobble Traceless Hair Ring – Full Size RRP £4.00
Hair ties have definitely become increasingly popular with brands moving more towards cute, stylish and fun designs. My ultimate favourite amongst the mix are the Invisibobbles so I was delighted to see these inside the box.
The Invisibobble is a simple yet effective traceless hair tie which leaves no kinks or marks in your hair and all subscribers can expect to see a pack of three in a snowy white shade. As well as being much kinder to your hair they also help to avoid split ends. I have hair extensions and these are great for keeping my hair tied without any pulling. I tie my hair before I go sleep to ensure my extensions don’t matt and tangle, it does the job perfectly and in the morning the Invisibobble still remains in my hair unlike others which simply just fall out.
3. Nails Inc Polish in Battersea Park – Full Size. RRP £11.00
You can expect to find one of two shades from Nails Inc inside your box this box, baby pink or Khaki.
I’m quite girly so I would have preferred the pink but Battersea Park is a slightly unusual yet very pretty Khaki shade perfect for autumn.
4. Bellapierre Shimmer Powder – Full Size RRP £12.99
I’m not usually a fan of loose powders mainly because I’m clumsy and have had a few carpet accidents but I love the shimmer powders from Bellepierre, they have wonderful pigmentation, blend really easily with little fallout and are an ultimate all-in-one mineral make up product that you can mix with lip balm, clear nail polish, and with a drop of water it even becomes an eyeshadow and an eyeliner.
Whesek is a gorgeous smokey silver shade perfect for dressing up the eyes during the wintery months.
5. Marsk Eyeshadow Brush Pro – Full Size RRP £16.70
I love seeing beauty tools inside my beauty boxes and this Marsk Eyeshadow brush from their Pro-Line collection makes the perfect pairing with the eyeshadow so for me it’s a very welcomed addition.
My Verdict
I really love this month’s edition, the artwork is beautiful and the contents are just as loveable and in my opinion they’ve really stuck to the theme throughout. There’s some great highlights which are seasonally appropriate from both well-known and emerging brands and with all of the products being full sized they’ll effortlessly take you right through to winter! The box is worth over £60 this month which is extremely good value for money and also includes a £15 off voucher from Best Secret which can be redeemed against a £45.00 spend.
Glossybox always include a generous amount of full sized products and the total value always beats the actual monthly subscription cost so it’s a great way to discover products from well-known and new brands guilt-free!
